Issue:

Many dogs are euthanized because they were never adopted and SPCA can't afford to keep them forever, they have a constant stream of dogs who need their protection

Belief:

Mutts make wonderful pets,  The SPCA neuters or spays them, they are bathed and de-flead and given all their shots.  If they are sick they have volunteers who will nurse them back to health.  They are examined by the Vet to ensure the mutt you are getting is healthy.

Every dog has his day and mutts deserve their day to.  Unless I have my heart set on a pure-bred, I pledge to look at the dogs available at the SPCA and if one chooses me to be their owner, I will adopt a mutt.

I'm glad so many people see the value of mixed breeds. A good companion who will bring a lot of fun and comapnionship waits at the SPCA. It's been proven that people who own pets live longer. There are a lot of dogs and cats who are just waiting to bring a lot of joy and fun and companionship into your life

I have had 6 mutts and you could not wish for a better friend. My current mutt Lady is a Lab/collie x and is lovely. She is 11 years old now and has never been to the vets except for her yearly boosters and health check.

All my pets are "mutts" (pets being cat as well). They're actually stronger and live a lot longer than designer dogs, and they don't mind going out and rolling around in the grass like a real pet.

Pure breeds are more prone to whatever health problem that the breed is known for than a mutt. Of course I would end up with the exceptions, but it is a proven fact of the health problem thing I mentioned.

I had 2 mutts, but we had to put one down because his mixed heratige made for a bad body shape. His legs and knees weren't meant to carry his body. But he was the sweetest and hungriest dog ever and I miss my son. He knew wwhat the words fridge, carrot, watermelon, celery, breakfast, dinner and many other food related words.
