Ya but not every last person in the world is a **** christian or agnostic and your rules don't apply to everyone just because you personally believe in them. Everyone is human and has needs and whether there is a God involved is neither your place or mine to say. When it gets down to it being gay isn't just for sexual gratification but for the individual as a person just like any other healthy relationship, its just same gender, thats the only difference. And to be so bull headed to think that if there is a god he would not know about making people in such a way, or make it a sin, is annoying and asanine. And also you are obviously forgetting that the Bible was made my man - altered through various times for many reasons, parts even completely ommitted. Even if the Bible was holy - it aint anymore. The facade of christianity is practically an attempt to unitiarianism, religious opinions aside. I am not saying there is not a God but what I am saying is that you yourself have no right to condemn anyone's lifestyles or say they are bad just for the mere fact they go against YOUR personal beliefs. And if you wanna talk about how organs were made a certain way like Adam and Eve, you do not want to go down that path with any gay or bi individual. If our organs were made for a certain function then i bet they are multifunctional. So grow a set and actually do something the Bible DOES tell you to do quite frankly and constantly: just **** be loving to those around you, accepting of who they are, and it will be reciprocated.
The Bible says love people but hate sin. I don't hate any homosexual like you hate Christians. The main reason you say that you don't believe the Bible is holy is probably because you don't have the morals or intestinal fortitude to follow it. Just a word to you. Marriage is a sacred institution that was the first one created by God. If you don't believe in Him, then why do you so desperately want for people to be able to participate in sacred institution. The fact is that you know God exists but you can't be true to yourself and admit it because that would require a change for the better on your part. Clearly something you don't have the guts or wheelpower to do. I feel sorry for you and I hope you will one day study this book you have no belief in to try to prove there is no God. If you seek Him, you will find Him. Nothing would make me happier than to see you come to know Him as Lord.

I agree that all people have the right to marry; have we all forgotten what marriage is all about? If two people love one another, what is the problem with getting married?
There are more republicans looking at this issue to gain votes by the ignorant than there are gay people wanting to be married. Though noble, this issue needs to be exposed for what it really is, and brought back when the neocons are OUT.
Personally I don't recommend getting married; however everyone has the right to be miserable.
People need to stop focusing on whats going on inside of peoples bedrooms!!! If two adults love one another and treat each other with respect, who gives a **** about what you want to call it!!! I love my partner and anyone who knows us sees the love between us and accepts us for who we are!!! The law did not create marriage ? So what ? The law defines modern societies, and religious weddings have no value in terms of law. So let the law decide... marriage can be religious but it doesn't HAVE to be.

Go Ebbie, I love Elton John, his talent is one of the best, and I hold him up in prayer like anyone else I know and love...I too wish he had chosen a lady... as for the laws , I sure wish people would consider God's vote on things, this would be a better world to live in, because in the end HE will have the FINAL say in it all....
God can have his final say if and when we prove heaven and hell exist. for now, this is a human world and humans make the rules. The fact that the american government considers god's vote on things is in itself against the very basis on which the country was laid. Government, state, and schools are supposed to be SEPARATE from religion. Marriage isn't only a religious act. What gays and lesbians are clamoring for is not recognition in god's eyes, it is recognition in the eyes of the government and the world. they are being denied the same rights that other couples enjoy and take for granted, and I might point out that these other couples are far more likely to divorce each other than a gay couple.
What a load of horse puckie! Listen to yourself! If you took the time to research your arguement, you would have found that the laws of this country were made with reference to the Bible. Why do you think we have "In God We Trust" stamped on our money? Because humans make the rules? No, it was because these men had the intelligence, integrity, and moral fiber to give credit where credit is due. Oh, and yes, God does have the final say on heaven, hell, and eternity. Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, not something you are born with. The only thing we are born with is a nature to sin. When saved we are given a new nature that unfortunately must fight with the old one. How do you tell which is which? God gave us a roadmap to life in the form of the Bible.Please read it and try to prove God doesn't exist. If you will, then you will find Him and the proof that He exists.
I believe everyone should be allowed to marry in the eyes of the law. Call it what you want to call the civil process, but call it the SAME thing for everyone and grant the same legal privileges and responsibilities.
If your religion allows any two people to get "married," then use your religious definition of marriage. If your religion doesn't allow any two people to "get married," then that sucks. I don't think our laws can't force your religion to be non-homophobic. At least now, am I wrong on this?

This solution seems to grant everyone what they want. Heterosexuals and homosexuals can become united in the eyes of the law. Homophobic religions can continue to discriminate against their constituents and preserve the "sanctity of marriage." While non-homophobic religions can grant all their constituents marriage under the eyes of God. That leaves the bickering up to the religious leaders, which is where it should rest and not on politicians.

For everyone who is talking about God and how he did not make people so that two of the same sex should be together, that is not relevant. Even if Christians don't think gays should be allowed to be together, there is a separation of church and state in this country and whatever God intended is NOT relevant to the laws of this country. America is NOT a Christian nation.
Britain is and we allow gay marriage and speaking as a hetero Cristian I think that is fine.

christian conservatives argue that gay marriage is not in common with the bible, but the bible is not the law. and the bible has nothing to do with laws. And why have christian conservatives such high morality standards when it comes to that topic, it´s absurd, and it´s not that easy ! it´s not enough to shout god loud. the borders between straight and gay are way thiner than most people think..for example read something about the kinsey studies !

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Any Christian who knows GOD as their Father keeps his commands. GOD LOVES EVERYONE and makes rules for all good. If anyone has questions about GOD's love he can find ALL answers in the HOLY BIBLE!

How does gay marriage effect you personally? What harm does it do you? Will you die if two men or two women are recognized as a legally married couple? Are you afraid you'll catch a "gay" disease or something. Who gives a rats' ass about what the bible says. Aren't we all entitled to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" or does that only apply to straight people.

Im not gay and Im a Christian but I feel very strongly that gay marriage should be legal. Anyone that does not support is very racist. Saying its wrong is discrimanatory against a certain type of people. LEGALISE IT! SUPPORT IT!
