Heath Ledger did an excellent job as a Joker in the Dark Knight. He've worked really harder to make that character so realistic. I'm telling you that he does deserve to get an Oscar award for his own performance. I'll be looking forward to the Oscar next year and praying for him to be nominated. RIP: Heath Ledger! Heath Ledger should of course get an oscar for playing the joker in the dark knight. Heath is so talented and it really showed in his performance. if he doesnt thats just stupid. he deserved on for '10 things i hate about you' and 'lords of dog town'. heath was amazing in every movie but extremely amazing in the dark night. noone will ever take the academy awards seriously if they dont make the right choice and give heath that oscar. I say he should. I mean he totally deserves a second chance to be nominated but win definately for this role. Like how Sir Anthony won for Hannibal. I mean if you notice, the Joker is a madman (like Hannibal) but he is very intelligent. He knows what he is doing and he seemed to be one step ahead of cops and stuff. Like how Hannibal had escaped from the FBI. Anyway, Heath totally disappeared in this role completely. I mean the voice, the body language, everything. I can't even reconize him. I should think he deserves it and he should. It would also be a good way for Matilda to DEFINATELY have something of her dad she can hold with her. She would look at the oscar and go, "dad you did it." So please, Academy, award this talented young man this Oscar he deserves. Little do they know, this is his last completed film. I also agree with Helen V and Alysa. I mean if he was alive, we'd all be signing this anyway. He really blew our minds. Heath, you are missed but you're not forgotten. he deserves this! i don't know why, but his "Joker" reminds me of Brandon's Lee "Eric Draven"- maybe because these characters are very similiar like two sides of one coin or maybe both of them died young and these roles became some kind of fatal.. anyway, Ledger deserves to be remembered as a good man and a great actor. he's actually and for a long time the greatest joker, (what a bad luck that in most of the distribution country the work of the doubler on his voice wasn't as good as the work of heath...) but anyway, he's own voice, in the dark knight is awesome, his performance...perfect, he deserve it. he gave one of the finest performances in world cinema. his role has the potential to become as legendary as godfather hinmself. there could be no body at all this year who would deserve the honour more than him. Para hacer justicia a HEATH LEDGER quien siempre dedico todo por presentarnos actuaciones excelente y en trasmitir con mucha emocion y sentimientos en sus protagonizaciones, a lo largo de su corta carrera en el 7mo arte y que por siempre estara presente, es logico y en respeto para EL y en su meomria tomar en cuenta todo su trabajo artistico y dar el reconocimiento a su trayectoria con el maximo premio de la academa el OSCAR por sus actuaciones, asi sera siempre recordado como lo que siempre fue un excelente intreprete, personas como HEATH LEDGER nunca mueren siempre estaran presente.... OMG out of all the "jokers" Heath has to be the best one hands down. I couldn't believe how like connected he was with the character. Also he should win an Oscar cause of his performance not cause of his death. He did an amazing job at it & deserves something in return!! PS: RIP Heath (i miss you!)
