I HATE people that hurt animals. they are innocent and if u ask me, much better than people, they wont lie to you, cheat you or stab you in the back!! stop hurting animals. why do animals always have to suffer from our mistakes?

I feel animal abuse is disgraceful and that the Canadian-US government should take action into the abuse of animals. Animals depend on us their not here to be mistreated The government should come up with harsher penalties to the abusers for one not to ever have a right to have a animal after it has been abused.Another problem is animals are not gifts like a bike ,you can't just play with them for a bit and then feel you have a right to disreguard them afterwards a animal is a pet for life they depend on you . so think about that before you decide to get one.

People feel empowered because they know that the animal will not do anything about it. They are helpless and this is wrong. Hurting a animal just for fun is disgusting and i believe that people who should this should be subjected to the death penalty. but before this they should have done to them what they have done to the animals they are inflicted pain on.

I myself have an adopted dog Lady. I am her third owner as her previous ones treated her very badly. Its taken a lot of time and hard work on my part to get her to trust people again but it has been well worth the effort. People who abuse animals for their own sick pleasure should be hung.

i agree animals are innocent. They just want to be loved.

i realy feel pity on animals rather than humans,because animals can not express them selves to us and can not tell us what pains them.

Ok i am i big animal person! PPl need to stop abusing helpless animals!!!!!!! eople that abuse or mistreat animals should have to be publicly humilated and then killed by animals. I have always thought that animals are kinda of like small children and older people . We should be taking care of them. If you can't afford one then don't get one just because its cute. Animals are a gift from God and should be treated with kindness and compassion. People that don't do so should be treated with malice and disregard.

Animal abuse is unforgivable how can you let a animal starve to death or torture it just to here its yelps of pain would you do this to a child no of course not,I know that my pets feel emotion they cry they are happy so what makes them less of a being than us if its there lac of communication well i am there voice and i say enough

ooook.... apparently people think that just because an animal is in a zoo or other form f captivity, it's in pain...bull crap...animals in zoos live LONGER than they do out in the wild

Animals are just like people use there fur for coats its just like useing are skin for coats.. How bad is that.. I love animals and they shouldent be treated like dirt.

You bring up a very very good point. You can see your pets experience pain and depression and it is obvious that animals in zoos, in labs or in the wild must suffer terribly from some of the things we humans do to them. They are not machines, they can feel pain, they can feel despair and they can feel fear. I think a lot of people deny they can feel these things, but they do suffer terribly at our hands. I wish there was something more concrete I could do. The Humane Society and animal right groups seem to be out there all alone. But thank God for the work they do.

Animals should be treated with more care and love because they cannot understand things like we can and they dont have a voice , we should treat them with respect and care for them like new born babies because we can only imagine how confusing it must be for them epesically as pets. I believe animals should have more freedom.

I have numerous other issues to be concerned with other than the life of an animal.  Human life is far more important and also sacred; why not use your time more wisely by petitioning against abortion????
