Are blacks that support Hillary sellout?Forum Discussion for Are blacks that support Hillary sellout? Submitted by Demarcus J. on Thu, 06/05/2008 - 17:43
I am a former Republican and African-American. I am supporting Barack Obama for president. In my firm opinion, there is no logical reason why African-Americans should not support Obama. His policies are virtually identical to Clinton's. Even though Clinton touts her experience, she is no more or less experienced in policy or politics than Obama. So, in the end, African-Americans who do not support Obama, in my opinion, are sellouts. This is the first chance that Black people will have, perhaps in any of our lifetimes, for a viable, qualified, and transformative Black president. Why would any African-American miss out on this opportunity? It's insane! Blacks who do not support Obama are sellouts, plain and simple, and this is coming from a Republican. I feel politicians who are black within what ever ethnic culture they are , can support Hillary Clinton if they want , they have freedom of speech and have a right to voice their opinion. So no, I don't think they are sell-outs. Submitted by tweetie c. on Tue, 03/11/2008 - 10:17
Hmm, Clinton and Obama, wow so much said in that sentence. Question, other than when her husband had got caught up with that monica chick, did you like the way the country was being ran? If so then stop tripping off of history and use common since instead. I mean sure you can go yea we got a female or black president. But just because they ran its going to make the books. Now theres a strong what behind every great man? I'm going to keep it real, I kind of, no I do have a problem with Mr. Obama Baraka's name. Why couldn't his name have been Mr. Johnson or Mr. Williams? I understand he is suppose to be from Africa or something to that fact. Yet I also understand that they do NOT like african americans period and feel they are better than them black americans, who are all blindly voting, 'obama, obama, we have to ask him that and really look at his reaction to the question. This is just something I have personally observed with other african, nigerian black folk verses the american black watch you'll see. So if Obama can convince me that he sees no difference then Here's my apology in advance. But if not...Oh and as for Hillary who felt she wasn't finished with her term last time when Bill was in office. That's why they got in trouble in the first place. She was to busy, with servicing our country instead of our president. Which brought blabber mouth save your DIRTY dress monica into play. Does anybody get the picture now??? Blacks should be able, like any other Americans, to vote for WHOMEVER we choose. I didn't vote for Alan Keyes either. Submitted by Wendy L P. on Mon, 02/18/2008 - 23:56
