Hello Mayor Richard Wilkins III. Hands down best villan ever!!!

The first face that pops into mind is that of Nathan Fillion as Caleb. So baaadddd.

Caleb, absolutely. Creepy and excellent. Yes he was just working for the first but if Trick can make the list...I mean he kick slayer ass, poked Xander's eye out and killed a bunch of potentials. Nathan Fillion also isn't hard on the eyes.

Has everyone forgotten Warren? He had a soul and had free will. Glory being a God doesn't understand. Willow wouldn't have gone dark if Warren hadn't killed Tara.

I'm going with evil Willow also. She was one of the more upsetting villains, because Willow was always so likeable. Still, there were hints from the very beginning of her forays into magic that she used it to avoid pain. The bizarro world episode was a great teaser, with evil vampire Willow, but having the real Willow go bad was unnerving and a great challenge for the group and its dynamics.

Now I have to agree with the comment prior to mine... The first villian that came to mind for me when reading this was evil Willow. And for this reason... Buffy didn't stop her. Buffy couldn't stop her. Willow could have and would have squashed the life right out of Buffy and everybody else. Also, I was always a big fan of the Mayor. Not the toughest, but one of the funniest villians on Buffy.

i'd have to go with evil willow.. first of all.. just gorgeous with the dark hair and clothes.. she almost ended the world and she was evil for what a handful or less episodes.. and her motive was revenge, nothing more. she was the best..

Caleb, by far. How is he not a choice? He poked Xanders eye out for goodness sake. Tara regained her mind after Glory took it, but poor Xander's still having nightmares about Caleb's thumb. Major oversight on the choice list... Darla??? Who the hell voted for Darla?!

i like how trick was up there to pick but there was no caleb,no willow or even anya when she went evil in that one episode and turned everything upside down

Angel made being bad look good...glory did it glorificus but i loooved caleb's quote..."you ready to finish this....bitch"

angelus was the best at being evil, spike made it look like fun, but nobody enjoyed it like the man.

I think Glory was pretty bad. Look at what she did to Tara!

I think Willow was the best villian. She really showed how power can corrupt. I also think she would be the toughest villian for the scooby gang to handle because they loved her and she was one of them.

OK i chose Angelous because he, quite obviously, made the sexiest villan! =D but i think this should have also included several other villans who stand out in my mind: The Trio (Jonathan, Warren, and Andrew), Sweet (from Once More With Feeling), and last but not least, Caleb who i think made the ABSOLUTELY BEST villan on both BtVS.

Angelus was the best villain because when he went evil, he was REALLY evil. And also, because it was just such a betrayal for him to turn on them, and he knew so much about them all he could really make the evil personal.

I vote the mayor! He cracked me up. Although dark Willow was great too...can't beat skinning some one alive! I think this needs to be expanded (and have some characters removed), there were a lot of major villains who were left out in this poll.

Sweet was awesome. He had style and Buffy never defeated him.

I think they saved the best villian for last with Caleb. He was so self-righteous in his ideals and yet so heartlessly evil that he should at least be mentioned.

I think Willow was one of the best villians, actually, even though she was a scooby. I could choose Darla too, but that has more to do with her character on Angel than on Buffy. Hard question. All of them had their merits. You should put a picture of Buffy up for the first, since the first really liked to manifest as her.

Drusilla was always my personal favorite, but Glory posed more of a threat to Buffy on every front. She was close to Buffy in a way none of them could detect or remember, she was out to take away the last family Buffy had, and she was just the most upfront, unstoppable foe Buffy ever directly faced.

We're also forgetting Adam, but he was of no concequence. We're also forgetting the Mayor, who put Faith on the whole bad side of things. In the end, Faith, Angel, and Spike are good guys. Also, Darla and Drusilla weren't really that big on the whole villains scale. The Master was good at being a bad guy.. But his death was pretty lame considering the hype throughout the end of season one. The first is never really gone but it was bad*ss. So, I'm picking the first.

I will pick Glory out of this list, but......I think the best villain out of all the individual episodes were The Gentlemen from Hush. That is the only villain (besides Sweet from "Once More With Feeling") that sticks with me and comes back occasionally to my mind. I don't know if that qualifies, however since they aren't a season long villain.
