Blood Ties fans all over the world banded together to donate glasses for the Lions Club. May was the Lions Club "Recycle for Sight" month and the Blood Ties fans donated over 200 pairs of prescription glasses & sunglasses, Non-prescription sunglasses and reading glasses. Vicki Nelson, the lead character on Blood Ties, was the inspiration for this campagin. I'm sorry to say that I haven't watched Blood Ties, but I have pledged to donate glasses for the Blood Ties drive. I just got new glasses and Rx sunglasses, so this comes at the perfect time!

i love it and hope it will come back but i really doubt it will..i mean look at all the petitions for shows...very few get a second chance.. and look its always the good ones that get booted off air.

As I said about Moonlight, Blood Ties also was on my viewing agenda and hope it will remain so. Good movie should not be canceled.
Renew Blood Ties it deserves another season.
I have plenty of old glasses around to donate. What first drew me to the character of Vicki (in the books) was her triumph over adversity in the form of her poor eyesight. As a nearsighted geek myself I fell in love with her. So I will be more than happy to support this campaign.
Blood Ties forever! This show's a keeper. If I can find my old glasses I'll be sure to send them along.
If you go to the Moonlight site and donate money to the Red Cross you can use the "In Memory of" option to specify that you are donating to the BLOOD TIES TV SHOW - and you can put Henry Fitzroy (or which ever character you prefer) in the info box...
Wow I LOVE That Blood Ties and Moonlight are working together. I love both shows so much. They both have the same gritty realism under their surrealism. AND strong women role models, and handsome male vamps of course... Thanks so much for working together!!!

This is perfect. I just had LASIK surgery and have 2 pairs of prescription glasses to donate! I miss the show and hope that we can get it back on the air.

I have 4 pairs of glasses I'm saving for May. Should I pledge 4 times?
Folks, if you want to contribute to this campaign but have no glasses to donate you can pick up good glasses at a neighborhood thrift shop. Remember they accept sunglasses too. I found half a dozen pairs (all in good condition) at a local thrift store. It cost a few dollars. I will donate them to this campaign, supporting both Blood Ties and the charity I bought them from! ; )
