Blood Ties fans all over the world banded together to donate glasses for the Lions Club. May was the Lions Club "Recycle for Sight" month and the Blood Ties fans donated over 200 pairs of prescription glasses & sunglasses, Non-prescription sunglasses and reading glasses.

Vicki Nelson, the lead character on Blood Ties, was the inspiration for this campagin. Vicki wears glasses and is contending with a degenerative eye disease.

I have no old glasses to donate, or I would. As for blood donation, I have donated blood for YEARS, and will continue to do so as long as I am able.

This is a very good idea and a great cause too!!! I'll try and get glasses from everyone I know. Vicki would be very proud I think!! Let's git-er-done!! Just need to know where to send them!! vamphoney

I've got the word out at work and My kids are asking around for more too. This is just a great cause! Will benefit those in need and hopefully show the PTB we are SERIOUS about wanting Blood Ties back!
