Boycott the OlympicsForum Discussion for Boycott the Olympics Submitted by Randy H. on Mon, 04/28/2008 - 06:55
Well, it is not the athlete's choice as to where the games are. they are living their dreams. It is not for us to boycott the games due to politics, but we CAN and SHOULD reduce our trade with the (words omitted with respect to our family readers) China. China should have never been placed on our most favorable trade nation list. they should be the ones being boycotted. perhaps it is fear welling up in the hearts of our politicians. Too bad they do not have the @!#@s to stand up and do something. Kinda like the way we treated the Soviet Union at one time huh? Did we forget that they seized one of our planes a few years ago? Are we not aware that China (and Russian states too) conducts espionage on our government and corporate infrastructure on a daily basis via the internet? But let the Olympic Games go on, just don't let China fool you into thinking that they are really a friendly nation. The people are friendly, but the government... So bottom line I do not see a ballot entry that I feel covers the option well enough. Loading People... |
