Brett Favre retired in March, but the NFL's all-time leading passer is now interested in playing again and has asked for his release from Green Bay. The Packers say they won't release him.  What should Brett/Packers do?

he was/is a great quarterback and i think he should still be starting this year as well and im glad that he is still with greenbay peace out

As far as I'm concerned, Packer management has treated Brett Favre with disrespect from the time he announced retirement until today. I urge them to let him go so he can play football.

Being from wisconsin...I watched brett Favre play a long time....It`s hard not to see him not be a packer. All i hope for and care for... were every he play`s he just has a Great season, Even If he wears a PURPLE jersey......I was so luck to watch him play never missed a game. Ian.....

He should accept 2nd string He will win his position back in about 2 minutes. This is a no brainer hire the guy back and go to the Super Bowl this is your best shot!

i agree with both of you after all the incredible things brett has done for us it breaks my heart howis it ted thompson keeps his job i sweaar to god if the y screw brett over and dont start,trade or release hiim then i will swear off the cheese until someheads have rolled. think about it if aaron rodgers startshow many of the fans are going to veiw it as his fault and hate him,remember brian greise in denver?

This is such a no brainer. The media needs to butt out and let the cards fall, which as a TRUE Packer fan, I say - you let the man resume his role. You'd be idiots not to! If you can't do what's in the best interest of you TEAM, then let the man go so he can play. It's his passion and his life.
