Description:
What has happened to Christmas??? In today's society it is considered politically incorrect to say 'Merry Christmas' to someone. It's not 'Christmas Break', buts its 'Winter Break'. Thanks to the ACLU schools can't have Christmas Parties, or read/watch A Christmas Carol by Dickins, and schools are being sued for making Christmas references. Public places can have a menora but not a Christmas tree. Save Christmas! Don't be afraid of wishing someone a 'Merry Christmas'! Pledge to be proud of our religion and holidays!
I celebrated Christmas yesterday. That said it looks to me like the word "Christmas" is making a comeback. You see it in ads more often than in recent years and people are more likely to wish you a Merry Christmas. I'm happy to wish Happy Hannukah to a Jew, and if you actually talk to a Jew they don't have a problem with "Merry Christmas". Which begs the question "Who are we trying not to offend?"
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!
merry christmas everyone!!!!!!!
we say merry christmas
Merry Christmas to all!!!! It's been our tradition in America forever.....if you don't like it - you don't have to celebrate it. It's that simple.
There is an interesting take on Bringing Back Christmas at www.bringbacktherealchris tmas.com
We are a society of to many laws.... The problem is that the first amendment gives us the ride to read and speak anything we wish..... The ACLU is just that

We are allowing liberal idiots to brainwash our children into their beliefs... We as Christians are sitting on our hands and need to get up and fight back. Yes God is on our side but he gave us free will to stand and show our Spirit to stand against what is right and what is not...... So what are we waiting for???..............Christmas is the birth of our savior and the unholy want to take it away..... Stop them.....We need to stand up and be heard too.... DO not cower in the face of evil.....Fear Not!
Read the Bible for the answers and pray for those who do not.......forget the BIBLE

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
I say Happy Holidays to respect everyone. Just like if someone goes on a vaction I tell them to have a great Holiday. Which I mean to have a great time and have a special time off with family and friends. I would love though to have a white Christmas. Everyone who has a White Christmas with snow and all is so very lucky. I want one never had one. LOL!!! I am a big kid at heart.
Being from Canada, I find that this is a much more present issue, and as such I refuse to say "Happy Holidays" as the break in schools and the government has the holiday labelled "Christmas." I simply wish ppl a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and even if they don't celebrate it, they get the same amount of time off as the rest of us that actually celebrate it, so they could at least say, even if they don't celebrate Christmas, "you have a merry Christmas too," or something to that effect. I wish ppl a Happy Channukah and a Happy Kwanzaa, so I think that a Merry Christmas from others is quite well deserved.
Besides, who hates Christmas??? Is there anyone???
*~think independantly, and for the future~*
The Christmas season makes everyone a kid again. Kids would never vote to get rid of Christmas, only politically correct adults!
well, since most major societies these days consist of more than one religion, it is vital to not discriminate or even cause doubt in the minds of people on whether or not u are discriminating their supposed religions. Christmas is celebrated by Christians.. (I'm guessing at least most of them.) so in order to not 'discriminate', its better left unsaid. although it would remain an unbroken barrier, it does not matter. spread the joys of Christmas, by all means! but don infuriate those who don't celebrate it, even if they're a minority. sure, there are many, many out there who don't mind being wished Merry Christmas or having the holidays termed Christmas Break! especially the younger generation.. we don't see the differences and i agree that we shouldn't because religion is not a good enough reason. so everyone should just chill i guess. life is short.. be nice to everyone regardless their color, race, background and RELIGION. :)
If we don't get involved, who else will. I say Merry Christmas and I don't care what others may think. I have the right of free speech. We started this country with Christian men governing us. They would be turning over in their graves, if they knew what this United States has done to make it so difficult to even have the 10 Commandments in the Court Houses and Schools. I am sure that Jesus will be coming soon, to this ungodly world. We must at least remember his birth.

I think it's just all STUPID! I will continue to say Merry Christmas.
bahumbug
I totally agree with Melissa M. I am half Jewish half Catholic, we had both holidays in our house as kids, and I do everyones holidays, I have friends of many faiths and cultures, we all get on well. I have Jewish, Muslim, Christian's and Sikh's amongst my friends, And as Melissa said, WHATS THE BIG DEAL. God help us all hey? This political correctness stuff should itself be banned, for the sake of common sense.
I totally agree bring back Merry Christmas and get rid of this politcal corrrect stuff, I personlly still say Merry Christmas and if anyone does not like well to bad. That is what the Holiday is about Christmas and if you don't like it that is your right but I have my rights too.

I love Christmas so it always make me sad to have to say Happy Holidays, it's so generic. I wouldn't be offended to be included in someone else's holiday.
I respect, everyones, religions and believes and believe people who believe in celebrating christmas and expressing themselves should do so, with family and friends and respect others who don't but they should also respect us, for making a effort.
Of course it should be alright. When in Rome....right? I mean, here's my thing. It's the thought right? As long as you're not wishing someone a "Merry Massacre" or something, it should be ok. My brother-in-law's girlfriend is Jewish. He participated in their Chanukkah festivities. On Christmas Day, she came over and participated in our activities. What's the big deal?
I tell people all the time Merry Christmas because that is what it is. If people are from different back grounds and religions then they need to get over it. I wouldn't be offended if someone wished me Happy Hannukah. It's a beautiful time of the year and people just need to get over these silly issues. If you don't celebrate Christmas fine...don't but don't deny those of us that do. I respect everyone's religions and beliefs but I do exspect it in return.
It's funny how satan has a substitute for everything good. Easter is supposed to be the day Jesus rose from the dead, instead pple look at it as "The Easter bunny day." Then we have Christs birthday on Christmas that they use Santa Claus for. The real reason we give gifts is because the wise men gave gifts to Jesus for his birth. We do it to honor the day, by giving to others. It's time we honor him, and forget about being afraid of celebrating his birthday, and wishing people a Merry Christmas! People say we have a choice, right? Well, it's not right for American Christians to not be able to worship and celebrate Christ by using his name in a phrase to wish others well on that special day! Pretty soon, they will be taking God out of vows...that's not good!
God I miss what Christmas used to be..
baaaahaha.

just a little by the way.
whyyy would people be AFRAID to say that.
aaaaahahaha, you people are amusing
