I always admired and respected Larry Mendte and I love his wife Dawn Stensland. I am stunned that Dawn was let go by Fox. But I would love to see them back on the air together and I think they could do a world of good for the community.

How about a woman's point of view - I knew Alycia Lane was trouble the minutes she came to town. Larry Mendte has done a world of good for Philadelphia, surrounding communities and local charities - including JDRF and my child. I would welcome Larry Mendte back on the air. As for Lane - good riddance.

I stopped watching CBS3. I want Larry Mendte BACK on TV!!!! As for the Larry below - that fraud is from New York - probably a friend of Lane's. This is Philly. Larry Mendte IS Philly.

So below we have two scenarios...which one to believe. I say we look at history. Larry Mendte did nothing but good for the community. He was supported by other broadcasters, charities, community leaders and even Ben Franklin. The other one was never out in the community and left town every weekend. Larry stood up and told the truth and accepted responsibility. The other one never took reponsibility for anything. Mendte was praised by the US Attorney for telling the truth. The other one lied to the FBI/ Mendte never had an impeccable reputation and never did anythign wrong. The other had a history of bad behavior. I'll side with the honest one who grew up in Philadelphia, loves this city and took responsibility. Sen the other one to LA - oh wait!

Here is the way I understand the case against Mendte..... An egomaniac, sexist Pennsylvanian decides to stalk a fellow broadcaster at Channel 3 because he is insecure and paranoid about his job. Mendte cheated on his wife by kissing this "home wrecker" then someone like Jackson M. has the nerve to say he was fighting back by "looking" at her email account. Some would call this stalking, others would call it trespassing, and some may even call it identity theft. Larry was reported spying on his co-anchors email account over 5 times a day from his home and office. He was probably doing this while he is in bed with his wife while sickly fantasizing about his sexual infidelities. After violating her personal life repeatedly, he then goes about trying to ruin her professional life by leaking photographs and rumors about his co-anchor in the hopes of securing his position. Good for him as Jackson M would say! Lane then goes to the FBI considering that some creepy psychopath violated federal laws in order to ruin her life. Real class act this Mendte. He is immediately accused of these crimes and admits to them in order to get a plea for probation and house arrest. In my mind Larry got off easy. If this wasn't a case of a white male of high stature in a conservative state violating these federal laws, he would've gone to prison. Anyone like Jackson M that can defend these actions and accuse Lane of wrong doing based on her personal life and sexuality is obviously ignorant and probably a closet violent woman abuser himself. To say we all should be ashamed is like saying we should all support criminal and sexually deviant behavior. Its amazing the similarities between this case and someone who shows dangerous sexually violent behavior towards women. Larry should be allowed to continue his personal life but anyone who believes he is not in the wrong or should be allowed to return to the public eye after his action are totally wrong.

Big deal he looked at emails, his co ancore was a oppurtunist and she wouldve cut you at the knees to move ahead and make more money was it worng yes but wouldve i had trusted her no !.because of larry i started to watch channel 10 now i dont even put it on that channel.When he was at 10 it was number one now i believe its number 3 so it speaks for itself.

Agreed, I would be highly pissed at anyone who read my emails and sent them off to others. But we have all done stupid things and people have been given second chances. Maybe you've never been caught, but no one can sit here and say they've never done anything wrong. Larry deserves a 2nd chance, just like we are bailing out all these corporations, they are being given a 2nd chance. I say give Larry a 2nd chance and bring him back, maybe not as an anchor, let him build that trust again, as a reporter.

Larry Mendte was and is the best anchor in Philadelphia. Hands down. TV is not the same without him on the air. Everyone else is boring.

I was impressed by the way he came clean about the whol things and accepted his punishment. He did wrong, but I found honor in the way he handled it.
I don't believe he is narcissistic, I believe him when he says he was trying to protect his family.
