Description:Plot summary for A man (Pace) named Ned has the ability to bring the dead back to life. The catch is, it's only for one minute, if they are alive longer than a minute someone must die in their place, he also can't touch someone he saves again or they will die and he can't save them again. He discovers this when he's ten years old and he saves his mother after brain hemorrhages. The result is, his next door neighbor dies, unfortunately, his daughter is the girl Ned dreams about. Later that night when his mother tucks him in she kisses his forehead and dies. The girl, Chuck, now lives with her aunts and Ned is sent to boarding school by his father. Many years later, Ned owns a pie shop because his "gift" allows him to re ripen rotten fruit. He also helps a PI with cases because he can ask murder victims about who killed them. One day, on the news it's announced that a reward has been set on information about the murder of a tourist, and rewards being the Emerson's (the PI) only motivation the two of them get involved in the case and soon Ned finds out that the dead girl is Charlotte Charles, the girl he called Chuck. Written by Hannah Ned (Pace) possesses the unique talent of being able to bring the life to dead merely by touching them. However, the person may remain alive only for one minute, or else someone else dies for them. A second touch will render the person dead again, unable to be revived. Through his connections with PI Emerson Cod (McBride), Ned revives his childhood sweetheart, Chuck (Friel). The trio, aided occasionally by Olive Snook (Chenoweth), helps solve the mysteries of various murders, whose murderer is often surprising. Written by Mandy
Grown up Ned (Lee Pace) puts his talent to good use by touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor. He opens a pie shop. But his gift leaves him wary of becoming close to anyone, as beautiful waitress Olive Snook (Kristin Chenoweth) finds out. His life as a pie maker gets more complicated when private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) finds out about Ned's secret. Emerson convinces the cash-strapped Ned to help him solve murder cases (and collect the hefty reward fees) by raising the dead and getting them to name their killers. Then Ned is handed the case that changes his life forever. His childhood sweetheart, Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel), is murdered on a cruise ship under strange circumstances. Her death brings him back to his hometown of Coeur d' Coeurs to bring Chuck back to life, albeit briefly, and solve the crime. But once reunited with Chuck, Ned can't bring himself to send her back. He helps her escape after her grieving aunts, Lily and Vivian (Swoosie Kurtz, Ellen Greene), former synchronized swimmers Darling Mermaid Darlings, think they've buried her forever. Chuck becomes the third partner in Ned and Emerson's PI enterprise, but she encourages them to use their skills for good, not just for profit. Ned is overjoyed to be reunited with Chuck, the only girl he's ever loved. Life would be perfect, except for one cruel twist -- if he ever touches her again, she'll go back to being dead, this time for good.

Please corporate big whigs, give us more "Pushing Daisies". I have never truly missed a show as much as i miss this one. How many Emmy nominations do you need to realize that the cancellation was a mistake?

Pushing Daisies is, and will always be the only TV show I've truly loved. Bring it back NOW

Here we are months later, still missing Daisies and wanting it back. Maybe SyFy would be a more suitable home for such an innovative series.

Cancelling this show was not only an insult to audiences around the world, but HEARTBREAKING because of the innovation in story telling that needs to be SUPPORTED because the arts cannot survive without funding. Please bring back Pushing Daisies because the world is always sweeter with the mind of Brian Fuller contributing to the cultural dialogue. He is a genius and the acting is brilliant, and I heart Kristen Chenowith as Olive Snook. PLLEEEASSSSE bring it back bring it back. Support QUALITY television people, not reality crap!

Why do they always cancel the creative and quirky and yet keep mediocrity on the air? Bring it back!

Network execs are moronic cowards scared of losing their jobs, which are based on out of date rating systems. Way to go! (You dummies) This was one of the few family shows which improved the vocabularies of its viewers. ABC sucks and they know it. Hey ABC, do you really think people want to see the unoriginal regurgitated crap of shows like Hank and the Middle? Think again losers…guess it won’t matter since they’ll be cancelled soon enough.

Please bring it back! I love Pushing Daisies!! There's just so much more potential with developing the story and the characters, it ended WAY too soon.
It's just unbelievable that they ended it like that - cold turkey! Shame on them.
I miss it dearly:(

This is the most AMAZING show EVER!!! It's clever, quirky, and one-of-a-kind! I've bought the first season on DVD and will get the second season when it's released. I'd love to have this show come back for a 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th...bring it back and keep it going!!
Submitted on 7-16-2009

It is a sad, sad commentary on the state of mind (so-called) of network executives when they would prefer to continue giving extended time to series that challenge the notion of "reality" rather than nurturing an actually creative show that challenges the tiresome convention of "realism." Why not try to get NBC to give PD a second life after being dead--NBC doesn't have one single show that should be given another season.

BRING IT BACK, its the first "nice" show i've liked... ever... i think... not to mention one of the funniest, bloody hell, they cancel stuff like this and leave things like Smallville on the air... screw tv, i guess i'll just switch to internet series or something haha, less chance of cancelation.

I seriously have never loved a show as much as I love Pushing Daisies. I will give undying faithfulness to watching P.D. if you bring it back. P.D. brought joy to my life with all of its quirkiness and PURE comedy and romance.

Please bring this wonderful show back. There is nothing else like it. I sobbed my heart out watching the finale.

This show has really made a difference in quality fictional entertainment. How can you keep shows on that do not even compare, and remove something this good. Can some executive in ABC bring this back from the dead like Ned? If you do, after a minute maybe one of competitors shows may die off..........
Submitted on 6-17-2009
My friends and I would get together every week and watch Pushing Daisies. I miss watching it together. Please bring it back.
