Well I dont know why GM isnt bring back the firebird because i have have always like the trans am more than the camaro for one cause the bird looked more fearful and better tha the camaro. The camaro only had 3 different models standard V6 and Z28 & the SS. but on the onther hand the firebird had the staandard V6 but several V8 (trans am,formula,blackbird.firehawk,trans am ram air. I mean come on now you cant stop the Bird now. So if you would consider about bring the bird back please Thank You for your time. . .

I will buy one of each GTO/TRANS AM retro years that you produce. GM needs to hire the designers of the prototypes of GTO/TRAMS on the internet sites. The GM designers are stupid compared to these guys. They are like the designers of the 60's and 70's. When GM builds these cars, I will sell all of my GTO JUDGES/SD455 TRANS AMS/20TH Anniversary Turbo Trans Ams and all of my other Standard and Muscle car PONTIACS. I will never buy any of the current or future poor design pontiacs except maybe the G8 GXP, which is still not an American made GTO/TRANS AM. Also put the GAS TANK FILLER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND MAKE THE REAR QUARTER PANELS 6 TO 12 INCHES LONGER. ARE YOU LISTENING PONTIAC ??????? OR DO YOU WANT YOUR DIVISON TO LIVE A STUPID LIFE AND DIE ???????

I have a 1984 Firebird and I love to drive it! I am torn with the new muscle cars coming out right now and I think GM should bring the Firebird back. It would mix things up a bit. I am chevy at heart but I have to admit, the mustang retro styling is pretty good and Ford was the first to do it. Dodge is up next with the challenger which I really like too. I am not crazy about the camaro but I would like to see the Firebird. Right now I am leaning towards a challenger but a GOOD Firebird would make me think twice.

Well, I own a 1984 Trans Am KITT conversion, similar to one pictured above.
I would consider buying a new one, more so however if GM had gotten on the ball and released it to coincide with the Knight Rider movie and it was KITT instead of a dumb Ford.

I have had a 75,77,78,79,80,87 Trans Ams,Pontiac beat chevy and ford hands down so bring back the Trans Am in a 70's body style with a 400 v8 and I will lay the duckets out for another Trans am. Don't waste your money on a chevy or ford.

I own a 98 Trans Am and will never sell it. I think they should come out with an aniversary edition that will blow the mustang away but as far as making the Trans Am all the time I say do what you said you were doing and make em a classic. As soon as they go back on market the value will start dropping again!!!

Pontiac has had the Firebird in its line as its leader for 35 years, ITS GOING TO stay that way, alot of people dont even know that its discontinued, they just assume its still the same plastic interior with only 2 engine choises. Pontiac, build it, and they will come...don't bring it from Australia.

Trans Ams are my all time favorite car and also 1st. My first car was an '88 GTA Trans Am, fully loaded w/t-tops and a 5-speed. My 2nd car was an '01 Firebird 5-spd hardtop. GREAT and beautiful cars.

I will just say...I want my dream car back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was six and wanted a teal, t-top TA. Then over the years, I fell in love with the Ram Airs. I HATE Cameros with a passion. I would love to see the TA come back and kick the sales of Cameros out of the water!

Shifty S Ford didnt create a good looking mustang in 2005. At least sales say they didnt. Sales for the redesigned Mustang have been terrible which is why Ford is already looking at redesigning the mustang back closer to how it was.

Mike S Why do you blame Pontiac division when there really is no such thing as Pontiac division anymore. GM is no longer divided and havent been since the early 90s. Its all corporate now and Chevy is GMs pride and joy thus why any Pontiac that threatens anything Chevy its gotten rid of (Fiero).

1st let's be honest the TRANS AM was the best muscle car ever made in every thing , 2nd as for the Camaros thay still have a long way to touch the TRANS AM history like the big block power , the handling and the unic beauty of a T/A . 3rd i own two 1979 black TRANS AM one Y84 and the 2nd is WS4 and u can say thay are every thing to me , so let's hope that the GM knows what they are doing becaue a TRANS AM it's not just a car , it's a LEGEND and got a big reputation and a lot of fans . I hope again to see a 2009 TRANS AM burning the roads ...

I am very disapointed that GM has decided not to release a Firebird to compliment the Camaro. It's difficult to have a performance division without a performance car. I myself am a Formula guy. A true pony car to go up against the Ford Mus.. I can't even say out loud. I have '89 Formula and a '79 TA. And would by a new Pontiac Firebird Formula/TA in the morning if available.
