Forum Discussion for Bring star trek back

Yeah I think the series finale got chalked up to an alternate future.  Considering the futuristic enterprise was just the Enterprise D with an extra warp nacelle glued on the back.  I miss that show.  It is on like once or twice a day on the video game channel if you have Comcast digital cable.  I think every network should be required to air an episode at least once a day.

They need to.  If anyone saw the last episode of the Next Generation, there are a bunch of unanswered questions. Picard and Beverly's marriage and divorce, Riker and Troy separated and troy dieing,  as well as some letters of the Enterprise missing.  And where is Q now.  We all know he won't sit back quietly.I did hear they are making a movie of when Kirk and Spock are young and go to the academy.

Star Trek was surely revolutionary, or at least exploring new frontiers in the 60s. A female black officer? Tolerance to not interfere with other cultures even when disagreeing with their habits, in the middle of the cold war? Topics like controlling overpopulation and many other sensible issues? My personal favourite are the later episodes of Deep Space 9, with the exception of the religious crap. As a political background it's nice, but when they took the psychedelic stuff serious, it sometimes became tedious. With that Emissary nonsense out of the way, think of the possibilities for a new story after the fall of the Dominion: what are the Jem'Hadar going to do and become? Destroyed worlds ripe for the taking by new tyrants, greedy merchants or idealistic philanthrophic societies. Economical problems to finance the debts of war and to reintegrate all the soldiers into a civil life. New worlds to explore in an entire quadrant, and so on, and so on.The Xindhi cyclus in Enterprise wasn't bad either. Whatever roots they want to expand on, at least some sort of Star Trek should be there -- for those of us who do like a story with controversial topics and intelligent dialogues. The others can watch WWF or sitcoms.

but of course- check out that terrific episode -The Menagerie , for a TV show that is decades old aleady it still is for me cutting edge..Though I was but in kindergarten when i saw a rerun of this in the 70s its the best, easily beating out space 99 or battlestar galactica. This classic line sticks to my ear forever = beam me up scotty. why not also bring back Voyager , it sue is nice to see a woman Capt.janeway lead her orew out of the delta quadrant  and of course with the eye candy 7 of 9.

Also i would like to see the next generation as well from begining to end.  I would say those two startrek series are the best.  Has anyone heard anything about a new Star Trek series coming out?

Trouble with Tribbles!  I would so love to see those episodes again.  The sets were sooooo bad.
