Issue:

While ripping plaster from a bathroom-wall, a contractor found boxes of bills totaling $182,000 wrapped in pre-World War II Plain Dealer newspapers. The money is in such good condition, and some even rare and collectible, that one appraiser valued the treasure at up to $500,000.

Belief:

When the contractor and the owner (former high school classmates) first tallied the 70-year-old currency that he found hidden in her bathroom walls, they were jumping for joy. Now, they are feuding.  The contractor thinks the owner should hand the money over to him or at least share it with him.

I feel he should get a small reward for finding it,but legally it belongs to the homeowner!!!!

homeowner.

Feel free to tip the contractor, but I do not feel that the workers have ANY entitlement to the cache of cash.

Hello, If he finds money on my table is that his too?  Give me a break.  I heard she offered him 10% and he wants more.  That is one expensive bathroom demo!
