I heard about this a while ago. It's disgusting!

please save the sharks

I saw a show where they cut off live shark fins and then throw the animal back in the water bleeding to death & unable to swim, so they die instantly. It's sad & sick!

Sharks are wonderful animals and vital and important to the earth and it's ecosystem

I think that that is horribly wrong and cruel!

I SAW A VID ON YOUTUBE ABOUT IT AND I INSTANTLY FELT SICK TO MY STOMACH I MEAN THROWING THEM BACK INTO THE HARSH OCEAN TO DIE IS HORRIBLE IT MAKES ME CRY I FEEL SO BAD FOR ANIMALS THAT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THESE CRUEL PEOPLE!!!!!!!

It is inhumane and torturous to harvest the fins from sharks and return them defensively to flounder and die. I have watched documentary film footage of Japanese Commercial fishing vessels harvesting fins and it makes me sick to my stomach to watch. What is the purpose of the fins? As I best understand it ….. for a magic elixir of sorts in oriental medicine and or herbal medicines. Now that sounds like a boycott to me for sure. As far as sport fishing goes that is sport and somewhat regulated. Yes, sharks are one of the most effective killing machines in the oceans and deserve our respect. My passion is sailing and I always have a watchful eye out for them and a shiver goes up my spine whenever I see a fin break the surface. However I have no need to rid them from the oceans either.

i really like sharks they are awesome killing them is cruel and insesiteive. how would u like it if some1 tried to kill u sharks are liveing breathing animals, even though the hurt a few of us humans it doesnt mean we have to hurt them, free sharks dont be mean be nice happy and dont kill my buddys the sharks(not really my buddys but i wish they were)!!!!!

I gree with annette. All they are doing is taking the fins and through the shark back in the to die a very slow death. Why dont we cut their hands and feet off and then throu them in the water to die of a slow dealth

taking a life just for meals that will just end up in toilet bowls?...hope the sharks will eat the half of the bodies of these people who do this.

We human being are the most defensless animal when we are born, but we are also the most vicious animal when i comes to doing wrong to the earth, children, and animals. It is coward to hurt something that it was put on this earth for a purpose. And it is always done because of money. Not because we want to do good. That is why our Earth is crying and fighting back with all those natural desasters. She is hurting for her and the animals.

Inhumane treatment of any creature should be prohibited. Every living creature has a right to live and die with dignity, whether it be human, shark or a small kitten. To inflict any unnecessary suffering upon any other living thing is simply just messed up! To kill a shark for it"s fins or elephants for their tusks etc. is such a complete waste of life because of greed, it sickens me. Lori in Utah

O.k sharks aren't my favourite animal but i still woudn't kill them for the hell of it that is cruel and it shows you how barbaric some people can be... don't kill sharks if you hate them just don't go near one

OMG...this is just unbereable. it's ok to be afraid of them; but its very unlikely you'll find them in the seashore where you are! nothing, NOTHING, excuses killing some animal.

I find this act of animal cruelty incredibly ignorant and ridiculous. Sharks are wonderful animals who are very beautiful and deep and to kill them for no true reason is just plain ignorant.
