Description:
Killing sharks is a big thing in alot of places. Some people catch the sharks then chop their fins off so they can have it in soup or just for a meal. Then they take the sharks back out into the ocean and throw their bodies back into the ocean and they will let them drown and die.
This is why we need to stop this from happening. Please help and sign my petition.
Thank you!
You are dealing here with Eastern fishing companies who use the so-called "nets of death" or trawl nets that catch eveything in their path, ie fish, turtles, squid, dolphins, porpoises and sharks. Shark fin is highly prized in Hong Kong and Chinese restaurants. Remember, these people eat anything that moves so the killing, or fishing, for their huge populations is indescriminate. Once again if world nature bodies are the only ones left to bemoan the plight of these indiscriminate fishing practises and world governments don't get on board and enforce global conventions, then the problem will just persist. The US needs to get off its big butt and become a serious player in the global conservation of all animal species for future prosperity. It's one thing reintroducing the bison and wolf to their former habitats but this needs to be extended to all living creatures. I'm no bleeding heart, but a world without wildlife will be a sad place to live in.
Well the thing is that no one is really allowing this. It's poachers that are killing them. It's all wrong, don't get me wrong, it should be stopped.
don't be naive KS, we know poachers are killing sharks. The problem is there are willing customers prepared to buy their illegal goods. poachers only exist because there is a demand for their services and the profits are good.
I feel this is important. Sharks are always thought of as hunters, always killing. But that's not it at all. I being a surfer, have encountered sharks many times, and when i have, they've ignored me. They just gracefully swam past. I mean, sure the first time i encountered one in open waters i was scared, but it did nothing. And now, i know that they aren't what they seem, and are one of the most un-protected species on the planet. And that has to change.

AN EXAMPLE OF HOW EASY IT IS FOR A HUMAN BEING TO BECOME A MONSTER! AND WE CAN BE CRUEL EVEN IT'S NOT ABOUT MONEY AND PROFIT. SOME OF US JUST THINK IT'S FUN! PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO KILL FOR FUN... SOME ARE SMARTER AND BECOME ABLE TO MAKE THEIR 'DIRTY' HOBBY PROFITABLE! A SHARK IS KILLING TO SURVIVE, OR FOR PROTECTION. SO, WHO'S THE REAL MONSTER HERE?
