Description:Dakota Fanning, who turns 15 next month, has reportedly been offered the villainous role of Jane, a petite, yet deadly member of Italy’s Volturi coven in the film adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer’s second book, New Moon. Apparently there were no auditions, they just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke with Fanning and she confirmed she is circling the film. "I really hope that works out," she says. "I think it's too soon to tell right now, but it'd be really fun. I'm a huge fan." i think Anna Sophia Robb should play jane she is perfect for the role and hope who ever it that is doing the castings comes to there sences and does NOT cast dakota ewwww
dakoda is just to sweet to play jane and she just aint that go of an actor but i dont like her and i dont like jane so i guess i can hate them both it might make it easier

Dakota Fanning looks sweet but shes a great actress.
Annsophia Robb looks evil/sweet she'd look better but she's not as experienced as Dakota.

I think she would be perfect. Dakota normally plays a sweet, beautiful and very innocent character, which Jane is supposed to portray until you know her darkside.
im a little nervous about her playing jane. its hard to picture but i think she could do well!

well she is going to grow alot as she gets older and jane is a vampire, therefore, she doesnt get older. And jane is in new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn.

yea well i do not agree with Dakota at all because she isn't even a fan and hasn't read the books. I would hate for the movie to be ruined because she can't play her part right. and i would totally love to play the role of jane i even had a dream lol it was great and yea jane should definately be blonde.

She hasnt evn read the books Dakota would NOT be the best person for Jane, I think you should giv the part to a true Twilight fan. I have read ALL the books and loved tem all. I think i would be a good Jane Jane is small but can kick butt just like me. Definitely not. I was really hoping that there wasn't going to be any 'big stars' in Twilight. It ruins it and you wouldn't feel as into the movie knowing it was 100%fake.
That is completly true. They will ruin the movie and i dont think i would want to see it if they had big stars in it. and i really cant spell...
I have to say that I never pictured Jane to look like Dakota Fanning, but I feel that she'd be the best one suited for such a role. She's experienced and is a professional. I can't wait to see the outcome.
as a outright anti fan of dakota.... surprisingly i say i'd love to see her play the part... i really think she could pull it off.
when i heard about this being a possibility i thought "wow... she'd be able to do the role really well with great justice." then i thought... "ugh dakota fanning..." but hey.... SHE could REALLY do the role justice. :D

She'd be awesome! Have you seen this girl act? She's a prodigy! And remember, her apparent sweetness is one of Jane's qualities, but she can seem cold and evil as well. I really hope she gets the part.
i don't think dakota should play the part she is normally in normal fairy tale movies and this is no ordinary fairytale but i will be prepared to be amazed
I think Dakota would be good at playing Jane. She's a good actress, even though she looks all sweet and innocent she could totally pull off being Jane. And true be told, when I was reading New Moon, I totally pictured Dakota playing Jane. She would be a better than Jane than Vanessa playing Leah. ew.
i agree about vanessa playing jane but dakota playing jane that would ruin everything about twilight she would make me wanna puke every time i saw it and btw jane has black hair in the book and dakota just doesnt have the experience jane is a very complex role and she just couldnt handle it and i hope stephine and the derectors and producers come to there sences and dont give her the role

NO, Dakota Fanning would not be right to play Jane, I think you should somebody who has never had an acting experience! Dakota is not right for Jane, she looks too sweet to be part of the legendary Voturi
I just don't think she has what it takes to be Jane but Anna Sophia Robb does
