i vote yes ...inless they find a better jane the movie has to be asome and needs great actors. i read the whole series and man im exited for new moon .. so mean while vote .. to make greater movie :]

i think emily browning should play jane because she is good and could play the part i read all the books and she makes me think of jane!!!!

i like dakota but jodelle ferland is definatly fit for the part...she was great in silent hill...y wouldnt she be good in new moon......

it think that annalynne mccord should play the role of jane she is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than dakota fanning when it comes to the role of jane.

i havent seen a movie yet with dakota fanning, but she looks like a good jane...if she gets the part i hope she does a great job because the book new moon is AWSOME! (and i even craied). i voted yes and i hope you all do too...unless you find a better jane.

I definately think Dakota Fanning would be HORRIBLE to play the part of Jane. For one, she is too young, and for two, she just is not a good actress, in my opinion. She needs to get more experienced as an actress first. And another point, isn't Jane suppose to have an 'interest' in Edward? Well, Dakota looks WAY too young to play the part of a vampire that has an 'interest' in 17 year old Edward. Not cool. I think they could pick some other person to play Jane, perferably someone older, and, well, better at acting. And don't even get me started on Vanessa Anne Hudgens playing the role of Leah Clearwater...

I think that Dakota would be good but not great enough to play Jane. Dakota usually plays roles where she is nice and sweet but Jane isn't. Jane is evil and she tries to hurt Renesseme so I personally don't think that Dakota is cut out or mean enough to play Jane!!!

Yes, I think that dakota could play the part well, She just has to get that "sinester" look from the make up department. I just hope they will put the music from Poe titled Haunted in the movie when they are showing Bell's internal pain and conflict

Personally, I like Dakota Fanning, but I don't think she's too good for the role. She does look like she could fit the role of Jane, but as far as I'm concerned, when I look at Dakota I only think of all the child and family movies she's been in. I think Twilight would be a huge step from where she's been in her career already. I'm sure there are a lot of other actors that could be better suited for the role. I just can't picture her working with the other actors. But, who knows. We'll just have to wait and see. Either way, I'm very excited for New Moon, and the other movies to follow!

As soon as I read about Jane, I immeadiatly thought of Dakota Fanning.

I don't think she would play Jane that well. When I read the book, I pictured Jane to look much younger, and I don't really know if Dakota's acting style could play this specific role that well. All of us don't know though, Hollywood can turn someone into a complete opposite with a snap of their fingers. All we can do is wait, and see if she would work out. The directors wouldn't hire her if they knew she would do a crappy job.

I think she could actually play the role of Jane. She looks innocent enough and she could die her hair. Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) had to die her hair and bleach her skin....so i think they can make it work. She really is a good actress so I think she'll do a great job. She is around the right age, she just looks petite, which is what Jane is supposed to be like. I agree with kelli f you people need to get a fact check...

and no there were no INFANT vampires yes they were called the immortal children but they were babies, infants children no older than like 4- thats why they got in trouble blah blah we all know the story (hopefully)
so if they got "a childish woman" to play jane it would ruin it even more than they already have
idk if she could pull it off but hey the actress who played rosalie was like mexican so the fact that she has blonde hair really isnt an issue
