First off she cant look 10-ll becuz children vampires were not allowed so u need to find a short (women) thats has childish features but evil features to pull off the jane act... AND NOBODY ANYBODY US VIEWERS NO CUZ THAT (RUINS THE SERIES!!!)

NOT DAKOTA FANNING!!!!!!!!!!!! Find some unknown actress that is like 8-10. She has to look like an evil kid (maybe give her a black bob), yet at the same time she has to look innocent.

I might be able to imagine Dakota Fanning as Jane if her hair was a black bob and her voice a little more villainous.

ok first off jane isnt supposed to be like 10 or 11 cuz in the book it says shes wearing a short skirt with hose and a sweater...AND she flirts with edward...second i dont like dakota fanning at all...third there are plenty other actresses that could do much better....pick some one like emily browning or cassie for jane...they would look alot better and could pull the sexy part of the caracter out when fanning cant...

I think she'd be OKAY...she's pretty, but I don't think she's exactly right. but i can't think of any other actresses (mostly cas i don't know any to begin with)

I thank that she would good for the part! I hope that she will get it! She looks perfect for the part to! Her complection. She doesnt seem like the type of person to play a mean vampire role but I am sure that she can play it off.

I also forgot to say that. To make her look the part I do think that she would "ofcourse" need contacts, darker hair, and the right make-up. I think we all saw her in Hide-and-Seek, she had black hair. I think she'll pull of the "evil but angelic" look that Jane has. No matter how experienced she is i'm sure that that fact will only boost her chance of making the character better, since she's so phenominal when it comes to getting into character.

I think she'd be perfect for the role of Jane! She's an amazing actress and i think it would give proof to everyone that she can accomplish any role put infront of her. And i mean when you see her in other movies she has the certain draw, that makes you interested, and i think that exactly what the character of Jane does. Jane is the one that most of the other characters are cautious about, which is why Dakota Fanning would be perfect for New Moon's Jane. She absolutely has the talent, and I know she's able to pull it off completely!

after reading the book, and imaging what Jane whould look like, i think Dekota would not make a good Jane, if she dyed her hair darker, and wore some contacts or something she may, just be ALRIGHT, for the part.

dakota is really pretty and i think she would be good for jane ...BUT!...she has to act exactlly like jane in the book(hint:she has to be cool but in command)she better be thanking me for my vote of a yes because i prefere the book better and think that the movie sucks compared th the book and gives twilight a bad name!

I think it would've been better if they casted someone unknown,because then they would've been able to let that person shine,and we would be able to see Jane's character well because we would see Jane instead of the actress playing her.

And besides,they shouldn't have wasted money on that big of a star.They could've used the money for CGI's.
