Description:

So today we were going over a review of the US's problems in American Education and i thought of something. We were talking about the rising of prices and taxes and the US's debt to countries all over the world. I had a thought that was like why don't they just use the money machines to pay things off. I know what most people think, that the value of money will decrease but it's not like i'm saying to pay off the whole debt, i'm just saying that they pay off at least 1/5 of it. The US owes trillions of dollars and they are never going to pay it off because of a theory of them only thinking that if they pay off the whole thing then it might as well be choas al over. I'm pretty sure that at least one other person had brought this up but they diregarded the whole idea because they are not willing to compromise. Well i don't know, i'm only 13. Do you think i'm completely wrong or that i'm on to something.

Mellosa, first off thank you for stepping up with your idea. You may want to look up inflation and how it effects our economy. It is one of the hardest things for us to keep down. If we devalue our dollar by just printing more, it effects many different parts of our lives. As the buying power of our dollar goes down the prices of everything we get from other countries starts to climb. If we can 1. get our economy back under control 2. Bring jobs back to the United States 3. Get a better handle on illegal immigration and 4. reduce government spending then we will have a shot at getting our national debt reduced. That debt is climbing at an astronomical rate as we desperately try to get the financial crisis under control. Keep nipping at your congressional representative's heel's to make sure that your financial has hope. Make your senators work for you. Just because you are 13, remember that this country is yours too. Stay active with you ideas, I would like to see more of them!
Mellosa, what do you mean by money machines?
If I read that correctly she was referring to having the mint dig us out by running the presses. I think that it is a great idea, if it did not have the dire consequences of inflation. But it is really good to see a 13 year old paying attention to her surroundings and caring enough to step up with an idea!
