it's impossible:) anyway why do you need a union with somebody there more money in US than in all European countries combined. Submitted by Andrew N. on Tue, 04/08/2008 - 20:13
I just can't see the United States taking this seriously. Partly our fault of ego, aside from the logistics involved. Submitted by Dick A. on Sat, 04/05/2008 - 20:07
I support a North American Economic Union only if Mexico is not involved. Canada and the USA will be just great. Submitted by John S. on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 21:54
Suportted or not, should it not have been a more public announcement, or mabye an actual vote fromt he people's of the countries? Submitted by ERIC M. on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 22:13
well this is kind of the result of personal curiousity and public concern. I think that it would continue to be the way it is now, with all of the countries seperate, but I have seen reports that speculate on the possibility of it, and I thought that the best thing would be to announce it on a site such as this. i have to admit although i do support the idea, the US deficit is something i don't want to have on my country's plate Submitted by Kudakwashe T. on Sun, 03/30/2008 - 14:39
I do support this, this is one of those ways to get countries working together. For instance Romania in the EU,is not a rich country but this joining up helps it to produce more, and by this the GDP has increased helping it to cop up.So this idea is an advantage to all three countries.Imagine the USA can get its economy to boost up again. Also the the joining up of resources will help all three countries.WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR COMMENTS THINK ABOUT IT. So this idea is an advantage to everyone.Imagine USA,its economy is in a recession stage, lack of resources,so if they join up they can join up all their resources and work as one. Let's take a look at this for one moment. We have 3 countries involved in this situation, Canada, United States, and Mexico. Canada is mostly unpopulated due to vast expanses of land that are either uninhabitable, forested, farm land, or just too **** cold. Mexico is a densly populated area of land, yes there are areas of forest and farmland, but the majority of it's population lives in a 3rd world state squished into a few select areas. And the US, which does have a large population, beyond that of Canada, but not of Mexico, and it is streched out rather decently. As it sits, Canada and The US drive the North American economy, while Mexico is the manufacturing plant, they have the worst currency value of all 3 countries, and when it comes to governments, it is extremely corrupt. Canada had a surplus of 12billion in 2007, while Mexico has a deficit of 7.8billion, and the US has a deficit of roughly 9.5 trillion. So who does this benifit? Definitely neither country that has a small or positive deficit. Personally this looks like a bullying tactic on behalf of the US to help rid its debt of stupidity. Loading People... |
