The problem with your petition is that you assume that your Love for Twilight is being attacked. Its not. In fact, it happens to be the opposite. Those who do not like Twilight have begun making campaigns because their honest opinion and dislike of the book has been attacked. Perfectly reasonable arguments against it have been touted by the Rabid Fans as nothing more than "Jelousy". A simple, non-confrontational answer of "No. It's not my thing" is often been met with shouts of anger and denial and accusations that those of us with a negative or even neutral opinion of the book are "horrible" and "jelous" and "fat" and "ugly" and that we "don't know what real love is and never will" and all sorts of arguements that make no sense and are very unwarrented personal attacks and attempts to censor us for no other reason than we don't agree with them ABOUT HOW GOOD A BOOK IS. And so we have created sites like TwilightSucks. Not to attack other's opinion's on the book. But to have a place were we can express ourselves without being attacked for our views. Every person who has read Twilight has the right to like or dis-like the book. Your 'rally point' to 'fight back' against us is misguided. It is the Proud Rabid Twilight Fans who started this. We are the one's defending ourselves and our honest opinions. Opinions that hurt no one. You can like the book. We can dis-like it. And we can still get along perfectly fine. We do not hate you for liking it. Do not hate us for dis-liking it.

First of all, it's call the First Amendment, located right after the Preamble. If you don't know what that is, go back to your seventh grade teacher and give him or her a big smack on the face for not teaching you that. Second of all, Twilight is an epic fail. With its abusive, stalker of a "vampire" boyfriend to its Mary-Sueish "Normal" girl of a main character, it's a down right Lose with a capital L. The plot is cliche, the lines are stupid, the jokes aren't even funny when they're intended to be. Not to mention the overuse of adverbs and the abuse of words like chagrin, beautiful, Adonis-like. The Thesaurus should sue Meyer for sexual harassment, because she pratically raped it into piece. Rabid fans, grow up. You've got to someday, so why not now? Edward's not going to kick open your front door and take you away into the sunset. Your silly little fantasy isn't going to come true. If you can't tell reality from fiction, then you need mental help.

There are actually reasons why many of us don't like Twilight. It's just that you guys choose not to see it. We've been repeating and repeating over and over again the flaws, but you guys always counter it with "But they're in love!" or "But the characters are hot!" or "Who cares, it's fantasy, it's not supposed to be realistic!"

And the especially immature ones don't even counter. They just go "You didn't read the book so )&**( off you )&**()er." And that's putting it lightly.

I respect the people's opinion as much as the next person. I understand why you guys love Twilight, I just don't understand why you have to take a fictional book and it characters so seriously.

omfg. Wow. I honestly didn't realize that this much drama would come out of this. The only reason I made this campaign is because of how many anti-twilight campaigns I've seen. I completely agree with all of the comments about freedom of speech. My only purpose of making this was to see how many people agreed with me, not to say that everyone has to agree with me. I also wanted to know the reasons WHY people who don't like twilight choose not to. I know many people who decide to hate the books who have never even read them. I wanted to see people expressing their opinions about the book-yes, but not any violence. Some people on here are saying totally unrelated things to prove their points ("YOU NEED A MAN IS ALL IM SAYING NOT A BOOK"). I respect people's opnions my only goal was to see what those opinions were and why people had them.
