Intended Recipient:Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame Description:We, the undersigned fans, respectfully request that Evan Tanner be inducted into the Ultimate Fighting Championship's "UFC Hall of Fame" posthumously. Former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder Evan Tanner had gone on a solo camping trip 9/3. He drove to the area on a dirt bike that he had recently purchased. That afternoon, Tanner called to say the bike had run out of gas and that he was going to walk. When concerned friends did not hear from Tanner again, they reported him missing. A Yuma-based Marine helicopter pilot spotted his body on Monday.

HALL OF FAME ALL THE WAY
Evan tanner should be in the UFC Hall of Fame for his tenasity, heart and his excellent example as to what a champion should be ( in and out of the ring) In victory or defeat he was always a warrior in the fight and a gentleman after; respectful and modest.

One of my favorite fighters in the early days. Practically invented devastating elbows on the ground and was one of the first fighters to display incredible sportsmanship to the opposing fighter and his cornermen.. RIP Evan Tanner we will all miss you!
A mountain among men; never walked to the beat of anyone's drum, just his own. A UFC champion and a man who reached out to fans through his blog postings and a friendly demeanor and helped to catapult this sport to what it is today. You'll be sorely missed and your place in history should be marked in the Hall of Fame.
Not only was Evan Tanner a great MMA fighter and an inspiration to many up and coming fighters, he was a great person whose attitude was second to none. He should be in the Hall of Fame and every fan and fighter should try to embrace his attitude.
RIP-they took him too early!!! He would've been in the Hallof Fame anyway!!!
Although Tanner was not as dominant a champion as others in the UFC, he nonetheless was one of the pioneers of the sport, was there almost from the beginning. His fight with Baroni, Lawler, and Terrell are definately some of the best, and Tanner's attitude of fighting anybody thrown his way was respectable. This should guarantee him a spot in the Hall-Of-Fame.
Evan is a pioneer to the sport of MMA! To just jump in there and fight without all the training and just some of his notable wins is amazing!!! He definitely should be in the UFC hall of fame! Rest in paradise champ!
I remember Evan in high school.. I followed his achievements through out his carrier, and have a great respect for him. God bless your sole brother, and may the good Lord bless your family in this time.

evan tanner is by far one of the all time greats of UFC history. we are all sorry to see him go. he deservs to be in the UFC hall of fame
Evan Tanner was one of the most feared MMA vetrans in the world. His passing saddens us all. No man alive or passed deserves the Honor of being Inducted into the UFC hall of fame more than Evan Tanner. He will be missed dearly.

The guy always had the craziest hairdos. I'll always remember those, but most of all he always seemed to be
more confident and grounded than most fighters.

I have been watching UFC MMA since the erly 90's and know of almost every fighter old and new and I think the world of Evan Tanner in this regard. Learning of his premature passing saddens me. My warmest regards to his loved one's. He was a great and fierce competitor in addition to Champion! Of course he belongs in the Hall Of Fame!

Hall of Fames aren't just for the biggest stars. While Evan is no Iceman by name, he is the class of the UFC abd being a former champ, earned the right to be in the hall.
YEAH I WAS NEVER A HUGE FAN OF EVAN BUT I RESPECTED HIM AS A FIGHTER. HE WAS DEFINATELY ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTERS TO GRACE THE OCTAGON. HE WILL BE SORELY MISSED IN THE MMA COMMUNITY. RIP

Evan Tanner hands down deserves and WILL BE inducted into the UFC HOF. This man was a true warrior and a great competitor.
What a tragic loss. My heart sank when I read that Evan had passed. I'm planning to take a trek this month or next similar to those that Evan took throughout his life...gonna load up my motorcycle and head out into the wild for a couple days. Hopefully I can experience what he took much joy in during his many voyages.

ABSOLUTELY DESERVES TO BE IN THE HALL OF FAME. GREAT MAN , GREAT COMPETITOR,GREAT CHAMPION, AND MOST OF ALL , A GREAT HUMAN BEING. REST IN PEACE MR. TANNER, YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO LOVED YOU, AND ALL WHO LOVE THE GREATEST SPORT IN THE WORLD. YOU ARE A TRUE WARRIOR.
