Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame

Description:

We, the undersigned fans, respectfully request that Evan Tanner be inducted into the Ultimate Fighting Championship's "UFC Hall of Fame" posthumously.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder Evan Tanner had gone on a solo camping trip 9/3. He drove to the area on a dirt bike that he had recently purchased.  That afternoon, Tanner called to say the bike had run out of gas and that he was going to walk. When concerned friends did not hear from Tanner again, they reported him missing. A Yuma-based Marine helicopter pilot spotted his body on Monday.

"Believe in yourself. Believe in your own potential for greatness. Believe that you can change the world. It is something that is within each of us. Believe in the Power of One"...Evan Tanner

wow i cant believe this actually happen really RIP ET

The man was middle weight champ and dwelled at the top of the division when he wasn't champ...toss in the fact that there will inevitably be many biopics about Tanner that will bring the sport renewed attention...Tanner deserves the recognition...

What a GREAT fighter he was. He gave his all in all his fights! May he rest in peace! HE WILL BE MISSED! We love you!

hands down one of the greatest fighters and a stable that the middleweight division was built around hell yeah he's a hall of famer

There is no disputing that Evan Tanner was an amazing fighter. He brought his best game, and gave it his all, each and everytime he came up against an opponent. He definitely deserves to be in the UFC Hall of Fame,it's just too bad that it has to be posthumously. We will miss you Evan.

Tanner made his mark by becoming champion, but even more so by embodying the warrior spirit that has elevated the UFC and combat sports in general to where it is today. Please put him in the hall of fame.

evan was one of my favorite fighters, and i will miss him dearly. everytime you watched him fight you knew you were gonna get a show. evan was a very special man and his beliefs were like no one elses. he had such a great understanding of everything and was a very down to earth person. in my opinion we need more people like him in this world

Evan was a great guy and deserves to be in the hall of fame. He was a rare individual who went thru hardships in life but decided to make a change. He turned his life around and I will miss watching him fight in the UFC as well as watching him transform into person all of the people and fans believed in.
My thoughts go out to the family, UFC fighters, friends, and fans of the late Evan Tanner. R.I.P 2/11/71 - 9/8/08

evan will be dearly missed! he was my favorite fighter! i am a rookie fan to ufc but was really amped watchin him fight and lose to rich franklin. rest in peace Evan! you will be missed!!!!!!!!

I always loved to watch him fight.

Very underrated fighter. An MMA autodidact with a good heart. R.I.P.

He will be missed

I was in AC when he lost the title to Franklin at UCF 53. He was so battered, but he never quit. His body would have to give in first because his mind wouldn't let him quit. I'm sure that's how it was in the end too. Strong man with a stronger mind and a heart of steel. We'll miss you Evan.

Evan Tanner was a great guy, role model, and definitely a true champion. May God bless his family and friends and may he rest in peace.

not only was he an awesome fighter, he had a great spirit

My prayers are with his family.

He deserves to inducted into the hall of fame. He is an inspiration.

GOD bless him, his family and his friends.

He will b missed..

Evan, thanks for all you have done for the sport and outside for others. It is appreciated. You will never be forgotten. Memories last a lifetime!!!

He was an incredible fighter and an incredible man! He is definitly one of the lost heroes of our time, and was personally one of my greatest heroes. I hope that he can be honored in a way that he deserves and I hope that he has finally found peace and fulfillment.

Give him the respect he deserves!!!

this is very sad.

Self taught, self made man who lived for the moment.. he'll be truly missed.. RIP!

evan tanner was one of the greats i had the pleasure of talking with him i wacthed him as a young boy and looked up to him he is for sure a legend and will be missed

An inspiration, and a true class act; MMA is not likely to see another Evan. RIP big guy.

I'm not saying the late even tanner should be in the hall of fame because of his death, which is a tragedy. He should be in anyway because he was a good fighter during his time with the ufc. Besides he was the ufc middleweight champion for a brief time. -

very great fighter. and a lil crazy at that. much respect tho. rip tanner
