Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Fame
Description:
We, the undersigned fans, respectfully request that Evan Tanner be inducted into the Ultimate Fighting Championship's "UFC Hall of Fame" posthumously.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight titleholder Evan Tanner had gone on a solo camping trip 9/3. He drove to the area on a dirt bike that he had recently purchased. That afternoon, Tanner called to say the bike had run out of gas and that he was going to walk. When concerned friends did not hear from Tanner again, they reported him missing. A Yuma-based Marine helicopter pilot spotted his body on Monday.

"Believe in yourself. Believe in your own potential for greatness. Believe that you can change the world. It is something that is within each of us. Believe in the Power of One"...Evan Tanner
I am a huge UFC fan which means that I am an Evan Tanner fan. Evan was a big inspiration to me. I hope to become a UFC fighter in the future. Anything you want to do you can do. Evan was living proof of that. Just look at the people he faught and beat, along with his record that alone should tell you he is Hall of Fame status.
Evan Tanner didn't fight much anymore when I got into MMA, but from what I saw and learned about the guy, much respect.
If just looking at his record alone, not looking at the quality of his fights, not looking at the intensity, the toughness, the perseverance, the skill, and the quality of the man that he was. If just looking at his record, he is more than deserving to be in the Hall of fame; without any question. If you factor everything else into the mix he should be a walk in, but to do my part in encouraging the management of UFC (Dana White, and the rest of his "croanies") I am more than happy to sign this petition.
Rest in peace Evan, you were a true warrior and a real example to what a man should be.
Evan Tanner was a true warrior and a great champion. He never backed down and never gave up. He had the heart of a lion and will greatly be missed. Prayers go out to his friends and family. He should be forever be remembered amongst the other Legends in the UFC Hall of Fame...He truly deserves it.

He was a great fighter & well known. There should be no reason why he should be in the hall of fame. I think Dana will do the right thing. His accomplishments & life will live on forever in the hearts of all UFC fans. RIP Evan & God Bless his family & friends
Tanner was a champion, he took on any fight presented to him, he represented the toughest sport in the world with class and integrity, I hope the circumstances surrounding his sad and early death do not overshadow his fighting legacy, he is a hall or fame fighter.
