Description:
I feel it is wrong that we teach our children about evolution in our public schools. Everybody knows about the separation of church and state. How kids cant pray in schools? How scriptures from any bible cannot be referred to? Well don't you think its unfair that the children in theĀ US are taught evolution? Evolution is in fact a belief or religion. By telling these kids that evolution is right you areĀ telling them their own religion is wrong. I feel it is unfair to represent only one sort of theory and say the rest cannot be expressed. I say none or all. WHO'S WITH ME?
Aren't you fed up with wars? Teaching religion at schools, making it a nationalized sign arouses animosieties amongst countries and regions of the world. Go and teach religion at school and you'll end up teaching your own kids how to fight infidels...
OK, I'll give you this-this would be a fair compromise if, in fact, creationism had rock solid evidence. If you can prove and provide evidence for your mystical explanation of the creation of our planet and universe, I'll make sure that everyone knows that evidence proves the bible was correct. However, keep in mind that the bible endorses slavery, murder, keeping women subservient to men, castration, and the death penalty for working on the Sabbath. Why anybody would actually endorse a religion that contains those ideas and many more is beyond me.I believe that evolution is taught instead of creation because of the fact that unlike science, religion leaves no room for differing opinions or legitamente questions that naturally come up from a book that was originally written in approximatly 600BC. It was written by men who didn't know a thing about natural laws, that the Earth rotated around the Sun, thought the Earth was flat...etc.,etc. Based on what we know about our ancesters, we know that they had to have a way to explain the unexplainable to each other. So all the people developed different Gods and Goddesses to explain the reasons behind plants growing, the sun rising, the moon, the ocean, the world. This viewpoint is just that: a viewpoint. I believe in my own eyes, and common sense, and logic to guide me in life. I do not believe in what I can't see or hear.(air doesn't count). When evidence proves that the bible is the unmistakable word of a omnipotent being, I'll be the first to alert people to the fact that I was wrong. Creationalism is just, so far, nothing more than a fantastic story that by common sense would be impossible to do.
You say all this stuff the Bible says. YOu are off base. Many of the things mentioned were in the Old Testament and no longer apply. You really need to read the Bibloe instead of listening to hearsay.
It is very wrong! It's ridiculous that children can't express themselves the way they want to. They should be able to pray in school. It is unfair to only teach evolution & not let any other beliefs or religions be expressed.
I agree if you can't talk about being created by God then you should not tell them about coming form an ape. Fair is fair right?
