Description:

The FCC v. Fox Television Stations.  The FCC policy would impose a heavy fine on use of 'indecent' words on broadcast television, which Fox and others are claiming is a violation of free speech. The case was appealed after being ruled in Fox's favor in a federal appeals court in New York and now is in the Supreme Court.

“The world that the networks are asking you to adopt here today, where the networks are free to use expletives,” said Gregory G. Garre, the solicitor general, may include “the extreme example of Big Bird dropping the F-bomb on ‘Sesame Street.’ ”

You've watched those award shows where Cher or Bono drop the F bomb.  Hey, Chase Utley let one loose at the Phillies World Series celebration.  In 1998, the "f" word aired once in prime time. By 2007, it aired 1,147 times.

I agree with the FCC ,I partically enjoy watching a show or movie curse free, what's the point anway, there's other ways to draw people's attention to the show then cursing to express yourself, I'm sure you can express your feelings just fine without over dramatizing yourself, just a thought.
