I don't care about it, don't care that their together. the problem is that it's a sin, and i can't be happy with someone knowingly committing a sin, period. I WOULD DEFINATELY VOTE AGAINST IT, BUT WOULDN'T PROTEST ABOUT it's not that serious, their the ones committing the sin not me.

I'm so sick of this argument what is so wrong with gay people getting married I'm straight and it don't bother me. I keep hearing people use the line "gays will destroy the sanctity of marriage" but hello the sanctity of marriage has already been destroyed for a long time and not by gay people. Now a days people look for any little reason to get divorced, marriage takes work even the best of the best,but no one seems to be willing to do the work.

You know what i think...Homophopes are GAY!!...the irony behind it all, don't you think. Homosexuals should have all the same rights that Straight people have, just because they chose a different sexuality than us doesn't mean sh*t to me. I have a strong opinion on this subject cause i have a few homosexual friends, and I being of an asian decent(I'm called many insulting names), and also not being taken as seriously because i'm a female, I HATE people who have sh*t for brains!! they can go screw off, and I say again HOMOPHOBES ARE GAY!! oh and sexists are sexist pigs who should go die, but don't eat 'em cause they'd taste horrid!! I support Gay Marrige, and believe that EVERYONE should be treated as equals, NO MATTER WHAT! As a straight beign who in fact has many gay friends, i believe that no matter what you believe in you should be designated to your own opinion, even if i think it's incorrect. and for those who think that we, who don't mind gay rights, are against the grain of life, i say to you, If it's against the grain, why would it happen in the first place if god was against it. If gays can't marry then no one should! I love it how over the years gays fought for all the rights of everyone else, we knew we needed to wait our turn and we did. In our lifetime we can remember when women, blacks. children and mayother things had limited or no rights at all. Just remeber all of us gays fought for you!

I am also straight, I have some gay friends and i flirt with them and they flirt back cause we're buddies. We never hurt eachother and they don't hurt anyone so i don't understand why people can be so pig headed about how we choose to live our lives!! I am straight, but if i turn lesbian in the future..ok, then i want the same **** rights i was given when i was straight!! Hey everyone, my name is Ashley and I'm new to the site. Currently I am working on a school project on a social injustice that matters to me. After some research and seeing how many forums such as this one are out there and how many people are so negative towards homosexuality and gay marriages, I thought it important for me to get in on the subject and voice my opinion. I am a straight female and I personally think that it is no ones business who someone marries. Love it love when you get down to it and I believe it is very unfair to keep those who are the same sex couples but are still in love from having the same rights as the rest of us. I am also Christian, admittedly have not read the bible in a while, and while the Bible doesn't exactly condone homosexual couples if I remember correctly it does say you should forgive people and that in the end it is not our place to judge. The only one with that ultimate power is God himself. All those "Christians" gay bashing and talking so bad about others maybe you should think about how Christian you actually are, because it’s not your place to judge or to be mean to anyone else.

My mom is a proud lesbian and has been with her life partner for 17 years! Who are we to tell her she doesn't have the same rights as anyone else? I thought this was a country that provided freedom of choice...I guess not. My mom deserves to be happy and marry the one she loves who is like my second mom. You can't help who you love and if she's happy....just let her be.

My best friend I went to school with is gay,that doesn't change how I feel about her,she's a very smart women ,and her and her partner have every right as anyone else to be married ,I agree with taylor,my husband and I don't judge, and why should you ,when people start letting go of fear,and start learning fact,I'm sure life will be alot better.

I, personally, am straight. I fully support gay marrige. I am a firm believer in that what you do is your own business and if you're not hurting anyone then why should ANYONE have a problem with it. In the Constitution it says that all men(people)are created equal...so why on earth should anyone or any group of people be singled out because they are differnt...the beauty is in the flaw...differences should be celebrated, not discriminated against...by the way I am also completely against all forms of -isms (racism, sexism, and so on...)
One last thing...people whose only oppisitions to gay marrige is religion-related...I don't see what the problem is. If you don't believe that something is right, then don't do it. No one is going to try and force you to get married to any one else...there is absolutely NO REASON to be opposed to gay marrige...AT ALL! ! ! !Also the constitution promises the right of the pursuit of happiness, since when is love not considered part of happiness?

Isn't it ironic, and hypocritical, that the very people who are critical of gays, for supposedly being promiscuous, are now trying to prevent them from committing to one another? There seems to be no way to satisfy those bigots. Gay marriage should not be forced upon religious groups, but the government should grant civil marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples. They pay taxes, fight in the military, and are entitled to the same human rights as all the rest of us.

To the people who dont believe in gay rights!! Why do you care if they're not sleeping in your bed?? Its not really your business. Let them have their peace. There are so many other things that you should be protesting but you choose to stick on taking happiness why? You make me sick!!!
