Description:I am so sick and tired of hearing people complain about other people's views. The United States was founded on RELIGOUS FREEDOM and freedom of beliefs. I am not sure if any “Religious” person has read the constitutional Bill of Rights, but amendment one states.            “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” I don’t really see what the big deal is about an industry pressing their views upon you or your children. Christians do it, Catholics do it Islamic people do it, why can’t Agonists and Atheists do it. Or is it wrong when someone’s belief is to believe in scientific fact and not make believe stories. As I recall the Bible is a collection of books which were all written by different authors over a span of many years. How do we know that these authors were not trying to force their views on to us?  If we wanted an accurate story, how come God himself did not write the bible? If there is a god which created the Earth, what was before God? Religion doesn’t answer many questions and just take a look at all of the religious wars there have been. If there was no religion the Middle East would not be in the trouble it is in. They have been fighting for thousands of years over there, and for what? To say my God is right and yours isn’t? I don’t like your views, so I am going to kill you? That sounds like it is a little hypocritical. ÂSo can all of the religious people just keep their views to themselves because frankly nobody really cares. Please post some commets so I can get a good laugh Thanks Brad Loading People... |

First of all, I don't believe in what I can't see.
Second: If creation is correct, then we came from Adam and Eve, and Eve was created from Adam's rib. So, she was technically his daughter. So, eww..
Third: I believe that Christianity began life as a way to bring hope where their was none, a collection of stories, mainly told to children, to show them that they could be better. If they have faith.. in themselves.
Fourth: I believe in Gaia. The Earth. The very planet on which we stand. Life. Everything. Nature. (not preaching, just saying)
Fifth: I have nothing against Muslims, I know some people who are Muslim. But, I beleive that any religion that forces women to be second class citizens because of what is written down in a book, written hundreds, thousands of years ago, when mankind did think that way, and still behave in such a way nowadays to be wrong.
Things change, religion should change with it.

Interesting. Prove that the Bible was written by multiple authors. As far as the Jews are concerned, God DID write the bible.
If you want really want to know what the fight is about, start studying your history from the beginning of Southwest Asian ("Middle East") civilization. There is a bit more to it than religion--in fact, it starts with commerce.

It says in the Bible that it was written by the 'finger of God' referring to the Law that was given to Moses. But, Peter says that it was written by men carried along by the Holy Spirit of God. Now, I am not sure what Jews believe about the Trinity, but even the Old Testament along with the SHEMAH seems to say that the Holy Spirit of God worked in men as it was given to them. Would you disagree that King Soloman wrote Ecclesiates or that David wrote many of the Psalms?

The "world" has no power over us. Many have died in the name of Jesus Christ; yet death has no power. Name one thing in the tangible, real world that can affect a spiritual union and ultimately a physical resurrection. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Oh dear, she's following me. Once again, just because you do not agree with me does not mean I do not understand. MISTER LYRICS has just supported my point about intelligent arguments. He will use bad language in hopes it will just tick somebody off and because he cannot think of an intelligent word to use. He also says, "Dead, dead, dead, dead Yer god is dead to me!" He speaks as though he has the authority to say God is dead, when actually God is so much bigger than his finite, unintelligible, idea that he is somehow in control. His voice sounds like a whisper to an all-knowing; infinite; and almighty Creator. One wonders if God is not sometimes laughing at these clowns, if it were not dependent on their eternal destiny.

What I hate most about religious people is that they think they are superior, simply because they live according to some (nowadays meaningless) rules dictated by people who wanted to play God on others and cto ontroll their lives...And the most amazing thing is that they don't realize that they're simply BRAINWASHED! I find it really hard to believe how in the 21st century, despite all the knowledge that points out the blanks in every religion proving that all the "holy" books were written by humans, there are people who fanatically believe in these outdated theories.

WHAT? Christianity in New Testament form has been around more than 2000 years and the earliest attempt to date creation by someone using biblical geneologies was about 4400 years old. But, anyone schooled in the Bible knows that the geneologies were not meant to be used to date and only include lineages that meant something or made a point the author was trying to convey. And just because a religion has more followers or is newer on the scene does not make it more true. The Christian church may have began with Christ's teachings, but Jesus is also the same God who created the world as we know it; which leads us back before creation to the One Eternal God. Your assertion that Christians believe the world is 2000 years old is naive. I would say at least 5000 years old, but probably older. To say it is more than say 10000 years old is pure speculation. The oldest historically reliable documents we have for dating in antiquity date back to Abraham and Moses is traditionally held as the author of the first five books of the Bible. You also do not have to say there were not dinosaurs to believe in creation. In fact, one of them is mentioned in the book of Job. My question may be this: Even if you believe in evolution; which requires small changes..or even punctuated changes over a large period of time; how is it possible to conceive of that? (and not the possibility of Creation for instance?) In other words, how long ago can you possibly conceive of? As far as what may have existed in times past, the things that are closest to us in America occurred over 200 years or so. I can conceive of those things! But then I stretch to thousands of years, for which there are almost no records beyond that. Then, a scientist says....millions and even trillions of years ago this happened! C'mon you got to be kidding me. Personally, I have trouble remembering what happened last week and this guy wants to tell me what happened 13 trillion years ago? Give me a break! My only point is...let's be reasonable. I study it and weigh it....sure...but we all have an opinion. Frankly, scientific evolutionists have the same three choices we all do concerning origins. First, Creation by a Creator; Second, Evolution by random chance; Third, alien life forms came to earth. They know very few espouse the alien possibility....there are about 6000 in the United States that routinely attempt to contact aliens by radio signal. Not a very viable option though; and being that they will not accept the authority over their lives of a Creator, they choose evolution. Don't deny this because it has been clearly stated in debates. I myself have found scientific explanations unscientific. Evolution for instance, breaks the laws of thermodynamics. Many experiments cannot replicate original conditions...so we use evidence. Science is fine with me if it is true science and not just speculation about theological ideas. How can a scientific theory have anything to say about a theological issue? Evolutionists have a theory about creation that includes a little bit of water a lot of time. In fact, it is one of the theories about how a river carved out the Grand Canyon. I think my theory fits better! A lot of water and a little bit of time. A flood so cataclysmic carved the Grand Canyon and it did not take a million years. Darned those seashells we find in the desert of all places!

Your "God" gave us nothing. All the great discoveries and inventions were by men not "Gods". Where is this creator? Why does he hide himself from us mere mortals?We owe everything to the Enlightened philosophers who have lifted us up from ignorance and shaped this modern world we have toay.
