Description:Petition for the obligatory payment of the Greek TV channels via Electricity Service bills. In Greece there are 2 goverment managed TV channels (ET & NET), which along with the radio station managed by the Greek state (ERT), force ALL the Greek citizents to pay a fee and they collect through the electricity bill! The logic of the Greek government is:"You dont pay for the TV stations? We do not supply electrical power to you as a penalty!" TV and radio traditionally get their funding through advertising. Before forming an opinion, I would have to know if these Greek stations are commercial-free, and therefore really need the money. If I had a choice, I'd pay a fee to get commercial-free channels. However, it really chaps my wazoo that we have to pay fees (for cable or satellite) AND have to be exposed to commercials.
