Higher age restricition on social networking sites

Description:

Recently there has been alot of stories in the newspapers and the news about all the young people having social networking sites and saying that it is dumbing down their brains and also all the stories about paedophilles so I was wondering if the youchoosers out there think that they should raise the age of social networking sites so then people could go on it and enjoy it without all these news stories and also then it would maybe work better if there was less people on it, or do you think that there is nothing wrong with young people having social networking sites and that the news should leave them to it and if they were to raise the age what age do you think it should be raised to 16 or 18 or do you think the sites should be took down altogether -please vote and leave your comments i would be very interested in hearing everybodys views

I think that it's up to the parents. I would hate for someone to tell what I can and can not do with my children. If I am okay with my children being on a social networking site, then they should be able to be on social networking sites. It's a parents right to decide what is best for their child.
