Well Gordon Brown is backing the idea of a Home nation 2008 footbal tournament to help boost Britains morale after no British nation qualified for the Euro 2008. He claims this will give fans something to shout about come summer 2008, when the Euro 2008 is going on.

Is it really a good idea, given the tournament will possibly divert TV schedule away from the real action in Switzerlannd/Austria?
