I live in the Netherlands our systems works very good allready for many years. As a family we pay 350,-- $ a month for healthcare, the goverment takes care for the rest. Only I have 52% income tax and our Fuel price is 2x so much as in the states Submitted by Diane T. on Fri, 05/09/2008 - 14:32
The government pays the doctors and we pay by our taxes ,in canada I feel if other countries did that there would be more healther people, and much more people would be able to afford to see their doctors, maybe that should be taken into consideration in the upcoming U.S. Presidential Election. As an issue, I think this is extremely important that we don't have it. It will ruin the country for the government to control our healthcare. I put not important so its not thought I'm extremely for it -- which I'm not. Submitted by Mike E. at http://www.speedwake.com/upload/index.php on Tue, 05/06/2008 - 13:08
I do not want the Government involved in anything having to do with my families healthcare. Lawsuit reform needs to happen asap. The Government is not capabable of running very efficient. Submitted by John N. at http://speedwake.com/upload/index.php on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 16:03
Universal healthcare is important, but the other aspect who will admister the project, who will be eligable, how much will it costs, who will foot the bill ???????????? Submitted by Nora W. on Mon, 05/05/2008 - 18:19
The same people that are footing the bill now, only now it's called paying for your health care(co-pays, insurance premiums,non-covered services, deductibles). When health care is not a for-profit service, but a human service, as is police protection, you might see that you are paying less. Real "Health Care" would be great - because the only thing we have now is "sickness care"! By all means lets get some kind of national health care, please !! Submitted by MIchael B. at http://www.speedwake.com/upload/index.php on Tue, 04/29/2008 - 02:49
I have never worked for a company that did not offer good health care coverage at a decent price. I guess I should consider myslef lucky that I have been able to take this somewhat for granted. But I went to school so I could have a decent job with good benefits. I am tired of the government becoming every increasingly involved in every aspect of my life. Do for yourself, people. Don't expect others to do for you. Submitted by Robert M. at http://www.speedwake.com/upload/index.php on Tue, 04/29/2008 - 01:51
If you want tax rates of 50% or more and the same type of people that work at the DMV administering your healthcare go for it. The rich will still get private healthcare so it will not effect the quality of care they get, the poor go the the ER for a frigging cold, and as usual the middle class such as me get hosed with higher taxes and lower standard of care. Sure medical care is expensive, but where do all the rich people of the world go when they get sick, you got it, the good ole USA. You want to make healthcare affordable, don't let crack mothers sue doctors for birth defects, lawsuit reform is the answer. Submitted by sandy v. on Sun, 05/04/2008 - 22:11
Excuse ME! What a jerk. There are hard working single (deserted, divorce, beaten) women out there working their ass's off to support kids. The kids come first so the Mom doesn't go to a doctor. Jerks like you don't pay child support and that COULD BE a major part of the problem. Don't blame "crack mothers", blame the **** lawyers and the judges that allow these stupid suits. AND, those stupid colds kill elderly and children every year. What a self center judgemental jerk. Women don't make a mans wage simply because she is a woman and you wouldn't know anything about it cause you are a man. they don't have tax rates of 50% in Canada or the U.K where's there Universal Health care - the facts don't support your claim.
