Do you think the US should do more domestic drilling?

Did you know that China, in cooperation with Cuba, is drilling 60 miles off Florida, which is closer to South Florida than U.S. companies are drilling.    

Did you know the Artic National Wildlife Refuge is larger than the combined areas of MA, CT, RI, NJ, and DE and drilling along its coastal plane would be confined to a space one-sixth the size of Washington’s Dulles Airport. 

Right now we are hostage to every threat and negative event that occurs in the Middle East or Venezuela.

Should we return to our position of strength and do more drilling domestically?

Sure, that might help for now, but producing more oil for the US will not help the fight against global warming and is just a bandage of a solution. If we are producing more oil companies will slack off on their much needed research and development of alternative, cleaner power sources. It is time to kick our addiction to oil.

We don't need more oil...we need alternatives. Higher production of oil is a band-aid. If that occurs then companies will slack off in finding better sources to meet our needs.
