With all due respect to Paris Hilton, I find that a message must be sent that states unequivocally that she is not above the law. I would never have considered making this petition had I not heard she had a petition asking for her to have her charges dropped. The time has come, Paris, to pay your debt.

If someone breaks the law, they should pay fines and/or serve time for it just like anybody else.  I don't think it's in writing anywhere that movie stars, actors, and professional atheletes are exempt.  If proven guilty, nobody is above the law because of who they are.
