Description:

To our congressional leaders; The undersigned are requesting the elimination of bi-annual time changes across the country. The changes from daylight savings time to daylight standard time are outdated and are no longer of pertinence. We are requesting that Daylight Savings Time be standardized as the national standard. Since the adoption of the "Act to preserve daylight and provide standard time for the United States" was enacted in 1918, the nation has changed and the purpose behind the law is no longer valid

I strongly support keeping daylight time. It is a major disruption to everyone I know. It takes forever to adjust to the time change, and ask any teacher it is totally disruptive to children. The extra daylight in the evening is more productive to the majority people. Studies shows this help with health and safety issues.
Agree keep the time standard year round!
Please keep DST year round!
Please keep DST year round!
DST 100% ALL YEAR ROUND !
Changing to daylight saving on or off; I do not care one way or the other. As it stands much of humanity's circadian levels are off with this system. I get so tired, that I refuse to drive anywhere, because my body is badly affected by the changes caused by the upset of my circadian levels. So please end this outdated program
DST makes sense. More sunlight allows people to be outdoors, gardening, exercising playing sports, ect. This would not only conserve energy it would possibly decrease obesity. Kathy Baker
DST ALL YEAR AROUND IS THE BEST. ENOUGH OF THIS CHANGING BACK TO DST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep Daylight Saving Time Year Round. More daylight when people are awake in the afternoon evening then in the morning.
Keep Daylight Saving Time Year round
If Daylight savings time remained all year, it would allow many more individuals to exercise outdoors. As it stands during the winter, I drive to work in the dark and return home in the dark. Staying at Daylight savings would allow me more time to enjoy daylight in the evenings. It would increase overall well being and mental health
Keep daylight saving time all year. Winter is depressing enough without it getting dark to early
SKeep daylight saving time all year
Keep daylight savings time year round!!!!

I petition to stop the changing and keep it in daylight savings like in 1974. Not fun to drive and come home in the dark, making our days shorter.
I petition to stop the changing but keep it in daylight savings like in 1973. Not fun to drive and come home in the dark, making our days shorter.
Standard time sucks. People who say that tomorrow we "get an extra hour of sleep" are dumb. It's Sunday, keep DST, and stay in bed for an extra hour ****.
Keep daylight savings time in Tennessee we grew up without changing times let's go back to the way it used to be
Keep DST all year round. Going to work in the dark, then coming home in the dark, is especially dangerous in winter weather. Thknk of kids on school buses! Please
Keep DST all year because not dark at 5pm as with other
I find this Native American quote: When told the reason for daylight savings time the Old Indian said, "Only the government would believe that you could cut the top off of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket!" Enough said!!! Keep Daylight Savings Time year round!

That would be impossible. It would still be dark at 8am in the morning in winter, what havoc would that create with kids going off to school and people driving to work in the dark? Just End DST it would be light in the morning at 6am instead of 5 am and light until 8pm until 9pm. We don't need daylight at 9pm in the Summer anyway. Makes more sense
Here on the east coast, Standard Time is HORRIBLE because it gets dark at 5:00, meaning that people have to drive home from work in the dark. Nobody in their right mind likes this. It causes more accidents, makes commutes take longer, and people get virtually no sunlight (which is bad for both physical and psychological health). We want to keep Daylight Saving Time year round.
Daylight Savings does nothing but wear people out, gives us very little sleep and also causes mental illness and depression.
You are thinking of Standard Time, i.e. when it gets dark hilariously early. Daylight Saving Time gives us more daylight when literally everyone is awake (in the early evening). This is beyond a doubt better for our psychological health.
DST gives more daylight in the Evening in the Summer not the Winter!
