Description:

To our congressional leaders; The undersigned are requesting the elimination of bi-annual time changes across the country. The changes from daylight savings time to daylight standard time are outdated and are no longer of pertinence. We are requesting that Daylight Savings Time be standardized as the national standard. Since the adoption of the "Act to preserve daylight and provide standard time for the United States" was enacted in 1918, the nation has changed and the purpose behind the law is no longer valid

Keep daylight savings time in Tennessee we grew up without changing times let's go back to the way it used to be
Keep DST all year round. Going to work in the dark, then coming home in the dark, is especially dangerous in winter weather. Thknk of kids on school buses! Please
Keep DST all year because not dark at 5pm as with other
I find this Native American quote: When told the reason for daylight savings time the Old Indian said, "Only the government would believe that you could cut the top off of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket!" Enough said!!! Keep Daylight Savings Time year round!

That would be impossible. It would still be dark at 8am in the morning in winter, what havoc would that create with kids going off to school and people driving to work in the dark? Just End DST it would be light in the morning at 6am instead of 5 am and light until 8pm until 9pm. We don't need daylight at 9pm in the Summer anyway. Makes more sense
Here on the east coast, Standard Time is HORRIBLE because it gets dark at 5:00, meaning that people have to drive home from work in the dark. Nobody in their right mind likes this. It causes more accidents, makes commutes take longer, and people get virtually no sunlight (which is bad for both physical and psychological health). We want to keep Daylight Saving Time year round.
Daylight Savings does nothing but wear people out, gives us very little sleep and also causes mental illness and depression.
You are thinking of Standard Time, i.e. when it gets dark hilariously early. Daylight Saving Time gives us more daylight when literally everyone is awake (in the early evening). This is beyond a doubt better for our psychological health.
DST gives more daylight in the Evening in the Summer not the Winter!

Please keep Daylight Saving Time and eliminate the "spring forward/fall back" forever. It is miserable for it to get dark so early, and it is also hazardous for drivers; more accidents happen in darkness than daylight. It costs more money, because we need to turn on lights at 5:00. Eliminate Standard Time!
So you are saying with DST all year you would rather have it pitch black at 8am in the winter and turn the lights on then when getting ready for work and kids to school??
Please keep Daylight Saving Time year round. It is miserable when it gets dark early - before 5:00 - and it is hazardous, too. More driving accidents occur in darkness than in daylight. It is more costly to revert to Standard Time, because we need to turn on lights by 5:00. Please eliminate Standard Time forever!

Please keep daylight saving time all year round. It is dreadful when it gets dark so early, and it is actually hazardous, because more accidents occur in darkness than in daylight. It is also less costly, because we don't have to turn lights on at 5:00 p.m. No FALL BACK, please! Christine D.
Please keep daylight savings all year. It's so depressing when it gets dark out so early. Even though the days are shorter, I much prefer light in the early evening.
Please keep daylight savings time year round, it works out a lot better for most people.
I agree that keeping DST year round would work best in the long run.
Please do not change from daylight savings time. Less costly. Get more accomplished. Less stress. Time to enjoy evenings outdoors after a hard day at work. Just love DLST
Keep daylight savings time year round. Much more effeciant for homeowners and business alike
please lets stay daylight saving time
Are you nuts? Do you want the sun to come up in the summer at 4:30am??? how are you going to sleep? You want the sun to set at 8pm (This would be the very best, June 21. Before and after that date it would be sooner. So much for that summer volleyball game, or mowing the lawn.) Don`t we want it daylight when we are up, and dark when we sleep??? Vit D is overrated I guess.
keep DLST year round..
I agree with leaving DLS year round.
I agree with leaving it on DLS year round.
Keep DLST year round, PLEASE!
We need to keep DLS time year round. It is ridiculous to keep going through this time change twice a year. It messes everyone up. Absolutely ridiculous!!!
Stop the madness with time changes. Just leave it at the daylight savings time from now on.
Keeping DLS time year round has many health benefits (more people exercise in the evening hours), reduces crime, and reduces auto accidents. It also helps prevent seasonal depression.
