IT'S NOT ABOUT TRUTH, IT'S ABOUT HEALTHY FORMS OF THINKING. Progress has been founded on science even if it came from a Christian scientist. Faith continues to diminish when using the scientific method because the scientific method's very purpose is to see reality beyond your own bias. If you teach children fantasy before reason (if you can neither prove/disprove in something, it's unsafe to consider truth, there are NO exceptions), they will grow up without reason. If I were to measure distances I don't guess; I don't guess because my perspective is not a perfect model of reality. Therefor I need a measuring tool, I need a model so that I can get an intended result and it is those results alone that give me a more accurate interpretation of reality. Is there an outer wall in space? You don't answer because that question can't be answered until we can prove/disprove this. It is an UNKNOWN, answer PENDING, you DON'T GUESS. If you make subjective conclusions on a whim, you might as well believe in Slenderman and Cthulhu. Guess what? People do: (Look up "The Ichor is Left Hand Path" on YouTube; The Real Cult of Cthulhu). Believe in our great destroyer Cthulhu, for he will one day awaken. Cthulhu F'tang. The mind is a fickle thing isn't it? Especially when things "make sense" at face value. Christians take their homes, technology, and healthcare for granted. They keep making excuses that those are gifts from god through man, try to tell us that scientists were Christian therefore Christianity is science, and take all credit from humanity away. Yet they want to teach our children to be anti scientists, anti critical thinkers. How could you possibly be productive in a field of study when your fundamentals of thinking involves searching for evidence to support preconceived conclusions? If you think like that, you will find answers, but they're not the right ones: (Look up VSauce's "Spooky Coincidences" on YouTube). Faith has done nothing for humanity, it's only given comfort to useless people who never grew up to accept the reality they live in. They think their believe is just a matter of opinion, yet it literally muddies your perspective of reality and can even teach you to hate those who never deserved it. I've only seen faith either breed ignorance or war, never progress. I am not kidding here, faith is dangerous to those who have no concept of reason. We might as well make any religion only suitable for those over the age of 18 given its intoxicating properties. I'm against indoctrination, keep God out of our schools for the sake of humanity's future. Their future and their children's future. The future of this planet and all those "soulless" animals who are apparently only there for our purposes. (Look up AronRa's "Truth vs Make-Believe" on YouTube).
Hmmm. Last time I checked, there's a little thing called FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Keep your stupid imaginary friend called God out of schools and governments. He doesn't control a **** thing. We do.
Keep the Christian God out of our schools. God has no place in our public schools. I am sick of Christians trying to enslave us. JESUS enSlAVES
We need to keep Christian God out of school. I am sick of this Christian enslavement. If God can be in schools so can Satan and other gods. KEEP GOD OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS
Keep the Christian God out of schools. To put God in school is enslaving our kids to their God. If The Christian end up in schools. Then we should allow Lucifer in schools.KEEP THE CHRISTIAN GOD OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS
We desperately NEED prayer back in school and government!!!!! Ok, we seem to all agree.... but what is anyone doing out there about it??? I mean, has anyone made it happen? I'd like to know how you went about it. Where do we start? Does anyone have any testimony to actually seeing change?
Given the fact that you just assume "we seem to all agree" just shows how clueless you are to reality as a whole. Provide definite proof what prayer has done for society. If you have no proof to prove/disprove, why are you even believing in it?
I totally agree, when you take God out of schools and this country this country can not stand....God is the answer to the problem with school shootings and what is wrong with this country
schools need God
Schools need God
Schools need God
i am writing a paper on god in schools email me at lol552@live.com to help me get why we need god in schools
Keeping GOD is certainly okay, but keeping RELIGION isn't.
You guys are stupid for wanting to take God out of school! I'm 15 years old and in school right now and I am writing a paper on why to keep God in school! Some kids only hear of God through school, so why ruin their chances of getting into heaven?!
I would like you to educate yourself on "Indoctrination" because you've just fallen victim to it.
You are a complete moron! Wow! Keep religion OUT of school!
I am writing a paper on that now! I totally agree with you!!!
You do realize that our country was NOT founded on christianity. And in fact was founded by the founding fathers most of whom were secular or pagan. NOT christian. Get your history straight. Secondly, our founding fathers wrote in the FIRST AMMENDMENT that all citizens have the right to freedom of religion. and even mention a separation between spirituality and government. And third. The pledge of allegiance was written by Francis Bellamy and DID NOT include the words 'Under God'. That was added several years later. His original words were meant to pretoct people from ALL religious groups. "Bellamy "viewed his Pledge as an 'inoculation' that would protect immigrants and native-born but insufficiently patriotic Americans from the 'virus' of radicalism and subversion." Sadly, people spout lies and beliefs that hold no solid ground. I think that before you make a statement, about anything regarding what our country was built on, or Francis Bellamy's Pledge of Allegiance. You need to get your facts straight. Do a little research and you might be surprised what you uncover.

I understand that all religions should be able to voice thier opinion and I'm glad to see Christians fighting for our God. Prayer in schools should have never been taken out or put out of public eye. We as Christians have rights too. Most non-believers keep saying if we want Prayer in our schools, we should send our kids to private schools. I do for this very reason. But why should I keep paying for your school. there is a easy way to fix this problem. Let us have our tax dollars to support our schools and you can have your tax dollars to build yours. The reason you have the divison of religion and state is because the government controls the tax money. But being until all Christians can come together to stop this stupidity and take charge of our children's lives so they can be raised in our faith, then I will Keep praying that our God will touch your hearts and lives and maybe open your eyes.

No way will I sign this. God has NO place in school or politics. And as to what someone said about children having to respect for parents, it has nothing to do with god it has to do with the fact that if you even attept to raise your voice to your child in a public setting it is deemed "abuse" One more thing, you can get "god" in church or your home, has no business in school.
i totally disagree with you brandi t!!!!!!
Do you teach your kids to respect you? Do you teach them that murder and stealing is wrong? Do you teach them not to envy? If so then you are teaching them the word of God whether you like to accept that or not. Specific denominations of religion should not be in schools, but God should. And this is coming from a sophomore in high school.
I shall not sign this, because god is evil and wants to stop our evolution.
If we were formed from evolving monkeys or whatever rather than creation, why are the monkeys not still changing into humans???
Because we are a common ancestor. It's not transformation, it's mutation! We're CATEGORIZED within an area of the animal kingdom just like the cat and the lion. Notice how we humans don't all look the same, yet certain populations seem to have similar facial features to each other? Replicating DNA isn't perfect, it makes mistakes and sometimes those mistakes are so severe we get "Birth Defects." The fact that you have zero understanding of the subjects you refute already shows why we shouldn't have your teachings in our schools because your model for viewing reality is a sentence; "God did it." Yeah, that's helpful...
GOD IS EVERYWHERE HOW DARE THEY TRY TO TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ANY SITUATION, DO YOU SEE WHAT IT'S DOING TO OUR WORLD, ESPECIALLY OUR CHILDREN THEY HAVE NO FEAR OF CONSEQUENCES OR RESPECT OF PARENTS, TEACHERS ANYONE AND ALL THIS IS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LOVE OR RESPECT GOD, TO TAKE THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE BECAUSE IT CONTAIN "ONE NATION UNDER GOD", AND THEY WANT TO DO THE SAME THING AND REMOVE IT FROM THE PENIES "IN GOD WE TRUST", KEEP GOD AROUND IN SCHOOLS, IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES, EVERYWHERE IS THE ONLY GOOD THING THAT CAN KEEP HUMANITY TOGETHER PEACE!!!!
I found this site while researching "keeping God out of the classroom", I am not a believer of God and don't want God in my kids charter school. If you want God in your classroom/school then go to a school of your religion.
This is a petition for those wishin to keep God in schools,to not change our pennies, keep the american pledge, not a bashing party on christian beliefs. Do we hear anyone bashing yours? The point is not to take what is american out of america. And to let someone say they love God if they wish to, when it seems very allowed to say and teach on any and all other religions accept for mentioning God. Some of you speak on having your freedom to have your own religion or none and not hear about God, but you are taught and hear of every other one. If you want to fuss about any religions in school, why not complain about ANY OTHER religion but this being they are all ok to speak of?
