WHY DON'T YOU ALL KEEP GOD IN YOUR HEARTS AND LET EVERYONE ELSE DECIDE WHEN, WHERE, HOW AND IF THEY WANT TO PRAY TO WHOEVER IS THEIR GOD? KEEP RELIGION AND STATE S E P A R A T E D!!! Submitted by Sheryl L. on Thu, 09/25/2008 - 18:15
GOD is Our true answer to this world- Our children are taught everything but how to pray- If our nation ever thinks we can survive without God in our system they are very sadly mistaken. Submitted by John P. on Sun, 09/21/2008 - 08:28
I have alot to say about this, but I know 1 verse that will sum up all the facts. John 3.16 Submitted by John K. on Sun, 09/21/2008 - 00:16
The government has no business banning prayers in the public school system. What happened to freedom of religion? We need to face some facts: Everything but Christianity is acceptable in the public schools. This has nothing to do with the separation of Church and State. It only proves the state of peoples hearts. Everywhere it is preached tolerance, but not so in this case. I pray that Americans will turn their faces back toward God. It doesn't matter where you have come from! Submitted by Jessica S. on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 19:36
Although I don't necessarily believe all of our nation's students need to learn about God in our schools, I believe that our government specifically trying to take God OUT of school is wrong. Give our students and their parents a chance to decide for themselves! Submitted by Yvonne I. on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 04:31
I want our children to learn about GOD. If you think about it we did not have shooting and stabbings.or anything like that. Children at least thought before they acted. Now most are on drugs and if you look at them wrong they will pull out a gun and shoot you. GOD says if you forsake me, I will forsake you. Fits most of America. We need GOD desperatly. Maybe we can then turn this messed up world around. IN GOD WE TRUST. PUT GOD BACK IN SCHOOLS AND KEEP GOD IN AMERICA. AMERICA WENT DOWNHILL EVER SINCE THEY TOOK GOD OUT OF SCHOOLS. God=Jesus...He is 3 in 1 person. The father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is only ONE. All the others are made up. Pretty soon we will have all kinds of made up "gods" in schools, and everyone will have an excuse to do evil,...because anything that is a form of God is not of God, it is of Satan. There are only two ways. Good, and evil. Satan appears as an angel of light, looking very satisfying and tempting. He has tricked everyone into thinking things will be better if God is out....he's sure doing a pretty good job. It's SAD! Submitted by ~☮This Free Sou... at MySpace on Sat, 09/13/2008 - 21:35
Pretty soon God will really leave if we don't want him here. Then, LOOK OUT!!!! Look it up in the Bible: (Book of Revelations.) Submitted by ~☮This Free Sou... at MySpace on Sat, 09/13/2008 - 21:34
If pple can pray to Muhammed, why the heck do we have to take God, the Bible, or prayer out of our pledge, or school?! Our forefathers founded this nation upon GOD!!! I thought people wanted everyone to have a "choice?" It's right to remove a Christians choice, but to keep the humanistic choices? I don't think so!!! Submitted by Dean D. on Fri, 09/12/2008 - 08:11
dam right school and government SHULD be seperarte!!!!! Submitted by Matt L. on Wed, 09/10/2008 - 16:10
Do whatever makes everyone happy. Instead of saying God. Lets say " In some super natural being we trust." or "One nation under some super natural being". that will solve the problem. that way no one really knows who we are talking about. but if you really had faith in God you wouldnt care. Because with God, all things can happen. Why is this an issue? Submitted by Sierra R. on Fri, 09/05/2008 - 21:47
God should be kept in school. but the school should do it smart. when they go to pray make it to where all religons can pray to their own God and the athist can keep ther mouths shut. and the country did go bad after they took good out of school think of what will happen it they take it out of the Pledge of Allegiance. we will go even more down hill. Most of our problems started, as a country, when we stopped allowing prayer in schools. It's not just a coincidence. It's like we signed our own death certificate. We've been rapidly declining morally every year since this happened. I think the evidence is irrefutable. We should stop and think about this, seriously. PUT GOD BACK IN AMERICA!!! I think that school and government should be kept separate, however I think that, should apply to all religions. I don't think that someone should be forced to pray to the christian god just because everyone else does. If someone wants to pray in school thats fine just don't make everyone do it. MichaelR(B.B.B.09)keep mythology in schools as what they are ZEUS,HECATE,JESUS,POSEIDON,GOD.they are all the same only holding the power given by those who profess belief.ALWAYS judging other beliefs as less and willing to kill to prove their god is greater.more people have died for religion than for all other causes combined in all of history.TIMOTHY MacVEY,and OSAMA BEN LADEN BOTH KILLED IN THE NAME OF GOD. religion is not for everyone and if you bring religion in our schools it may cause a disruption in our classes and for the famlies who are not christians they probaly do not want their kids in that enviroment keep religion in private schools not public Submitted by Kelli H. on Sun, 07/13/2008 - 20:03
So many people today dont understand how important God is in our everyday lives... To take God out of our school systems is like spitting in our founding fathers eye not to mention totally turning our back our God which is totally wrong.. IN GOD WE TRUST!!! The further this country gets away from God and it's original foundations the further it goes down the crapper. Look at the state we are in now! First time visitor to YouChoose.com and I wonder why the application doesn't offer an option for people oppose to certain petitions to voice their opinion. Instead of writing an argumentative comment against this pledge, I'd simply like to offer my vote, "NO." Ever notice now that God was taken out , guns an hate have come in. Parents are too busy getting themself a career to be home an teach their kids right from wrong because money is more important to them than where the kids are an that the country is changing to evil, nope, too busy being greedy. Miya, You have done a great job of twisting the facts. The pledge of allegiece was not written by the Founding Fathers. The fact is the Founding Fathers live in Christian belief system. Today we have so much "religious freedom" that any Christian valedictorian cannnot mention Jesus Christ in his address. If that is religios freedom then I hate to think of what intolerance is. The Founding Fathers did not try to keep Christianity out of government, but did keep the government out of the church. Submitted by Miya M. on Mon, 06/30/2008 - 21:28
"In God We Trust" is hardly the Christlike symbol Christians would make it out to be. The phrase, along with "under God" in the pledge, was added in 1954 during the heat of the Red Scare to weed out the evil, filthy, atheistic communists in the country. The US was founded on religious freedom, and keeping God in politics, schools, etc. is blatantly countering the ideals of the founding fathers. Submitted by Josh D. on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 02:45
