How many of you are sick and tired of hearing about the government and schools wanting to take God out of school and politics? I don't know about you, but i am, so i started this petition in hopes that enough people will sign it and KEEP GOD IN AMERICA. IN GOD WE TRUST!!

God and Religion Should be Keept out of Schools and The Government, im sick and tired of having to read in god we trust on my money, im sick of hearing our "Leaders" put trust and faith in something so easily debunked. Religion the most successful scam known to mankind. The only Power effecting everything in the universe is change, is that what we pray to change? pray to your gods i dont care but keep it to yourself.

While we are at it... let's remove the insurance companies ability to claim "act of God" when a tree branch falls on our car.

This government was founded on Christian principles. Yes I said Christian. If religion had not been taken out of schools everyone would know that. Please read Washingtons farewell address not the college version where they took out his religious comments read the original. It says it all.

Jennifer, The times required a certain amount of kowtowing to the cultural norm. Most of our founding fathers wanted God out of schools. First, they couldn't agree on which God. That's why there were Catholics and protestants and second, most of them just wanted to be left alone. You have no right to expose my kid to your nonsense.

I am a strong believer in God and all faiths, but if they want to remove God in school/government nobody can stop them. Some people are atheists, and as much as I wish that wasn't true, it is, and we just have to accept that.

I'm sick of people treating the Bible like it's preaching murder and protitution, it good will towards all people and if you want to start some kind of revolution, I'm so there. =P

But the teachings of one faith cannot overpower the teachings of another faith. It can cause problems. Religion is perhaps the root of more death of any other cause, so why put out kids in the middle of it, by preferring one faith over another... "Johnny is bad because he is jooish, whatever that means, and Tony is a catlick"

Some of you people really need help. Do you realize you take more effort NOT to believe than you do pleading your case as it being wrong. Get an education. Jesus did do the things said of him and it's in the history books, maybe not as extensive as the bible, but it's in there. Believing in the Bible is not a religion. You should look at it like car insurance, you may not get in an accident, but it's still better to have it just in case..right? None of you know for sure what is going to happen in the after life but does it really hurt you that bad to believe just in case? Oh, and don't forget, this nation was founded under God. Look it up.

Oh, for crying out load. What history books contain the miracles of Jesus? It does NOT take more effort NOT to believe. Does it take more effort to NOT believe in bigfoot? NO. It requires evidence!!! And your Pacal's Wager approach to religion(believing just in case) fails on so many levels, it's not even funny. Google it, if you don't know what it means. And NO, this country was NOT founded under God. YOU look it up.

Matthew B. take your own advise. The fact is our founding fathers could recite the whole bible from memory. They didn't watch it on CNN. Read about people like George Washington who prayed to God before he crossed over the potomac river on that ice cold winter night w/ half dead troops to defeat a resting and well fed British army. Read about how our military was designed by biblical laws outlined in Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus. Read why the first pilgrams set sail for the free world, to escape the religious persecution in there own land. Have you read any American History?

I'm atheist, I think in school you should learn about religion, but you shouldn't be pushed to be one religion or the other that's what ppl are trying to do here. What if you went to a different country and they forced their religion on you, you wouldn't like it would you? That's what the ppl who signed this petition are doing. Forcing their religion on other ppl.

WILL U PEOPLE LISTEN TO URSELVES!!!!!! some of u r not committed to God!!!!! either that or u have lost ur faith or hope!!!!!! i am Catholic and PROUD of it. I welcome the Lord in my heart!!!!!! nd so should u!! r u just going to sit around nd let someone else control u for the rest of ur lives?????? if it weren't for the Lord, none of us would be alive AT ALL!!!! so the next time u think that we do not need the Lord or religion in our schools or government, think about all that the Lord has given us. He gave us life, and this beautiful world which we are taking for granted. I want to start seeing more wildlife and trees in this world, but that's never going to happen! Besides, people have come to believe that there is no Lord. Some of us have lost our ways, and if we put religion back into school, then there may be more hope, faith, and love. So think about next time u say no to religion in school.

There is a good viewpoint on this and schools were stripped of this right in 1962 by a foolish, selfish person. These are some of the reasons to keep GOd not just in schools but everday and in every life But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This is a subject very close to my heart! Our founding fathers very evidently had God at the heart of all that they did when writing the founding laws that we have stood on for 400 years now! Laws that have made us so beautiful and so honest. But we are becoming more self ruling now, and are throwing all the laws that brought us into this very wonderful existance, and throwing them out. We don't even see what is happening right before our very eyes. We have pushed God out so very far, and we think it is a good thing. Oh how he is so sad. he loves us! He wants us all near him so badly!! But we are falling for lies that say WE are what is most important! No!! Getting into a relationship with our creator and then loving others is all that matters!! Not STUFF, not MONEY, not MATERIAL items!! But America has truly traded in morals for foul mouthed and sex-ridden reality shows, and our daytime TV consists of three cuss words now that would have made grandma keel over if she'd have heard those words at all, ever!! We are so desensitized now, that we don't even realize how far we've veered. God is a loving God--but how can you serve money, lust, greed, sex AND the God of love and mercy?? You just can't guys...we have to save our country, our kids, our relationships, WE MUST! We need to keep God in everything we do -- he is a loving God, he loves us and wants us near -- not out serving "things" -- just give it some thought. Love - His daughter
