"In God We Trust" is hardly the Christlike symbol Christians would make it out to be. If the government followed the rules of one single religion, then what would we have? An America that caters to one specific group of people. (Which is kinda what we have now anyway, and it SUCKS) God has no place in schools. What would you say to a jewish child while their teacher was preaching catholicism? "Your ancestors killed god, you know." God does not have a place in laws or schools. And Ms. Vivian? This country was founded on biblical beliefs, and taking God out of everything is what is destroying our nation! Maybe if we applied some of those biblical truths, we wouldn't have so many problems. The bible says, love your neighbor, thou shalt NOT kill, or commit adultery, suffer the children to come unto Me, that they may LEARN, etc. Yes the bible also says not to force our beliefs on unbelievers, but taht we are 'salt and light' Salt that we may irritate unbelievers, light that we may show them the way. it's against my principles to say that it's wrong to take Him out, and I never will!

It is not our place to impose our religious beliefs on anyone. How can the U.S. continually say its a free country if our government and schools force a certain religion? How is that right? Freedom of Religion also includes the freedom to not have religion in one's life. Do not relinquish your faith or your beliefs, but also be respectful and do not impose your own religious and moral beliefs on an entire nation.

If you want to include God in schools, do so by introducing it pedantically yet WITHOUT religious spin--ever heard of a religious anthropology class? All I'm saying is, its fine to have God in schools as long as its not for recruitment purposes but rather for unbiased educational purposes. School should be the last place for egocentrics, especially in terms of religious faith!
