The Actor William Petersen who plays Gil Grissom in CSI will leave the serie, Wiliam signed contract that only guarentees his appearence until the upcoming season`s 10, who will be open in October 9th. a rep for CBS has confimed. ``Petersen isn't gone for good, though. He will be staying on as an executive producer, and has agreed to make special appearances throughout the remaining run of the series. This marks the third original cast member to leave the show, following Jorja Fox, who leave in the episode ``GoodBye & GoodLuck´´ in 2007, and Gary Dourdan, who will leave for this season premiere. i am a long time watcher of csi and i think that if the show gets new people to start coming in to take the place of long time actors of the show it will no longer be called csi and they will start to lose ratings and will soon be canceled or even lose the #1 spot

Grissom make the team. his love for bugs. i love CSI for the team and with him and sara. I wish they would not break up the team because this team is what makes CSI.

The only real reason that I watch the show is because of him! I will not be able to watch it when he leaves. He is the best actor on that show, he also gives the other actors something to live up to. I am heartbroken! what a let down! Give him whatever he needs to stay on the show! do not be stupid!

I agreee with you as when you think of CSI you think of Grissiom and as you've said they have already lost Gary Doudran who played Warrick and I thought he was a good character.

Grissom should stay, Warrick should stay, and Sara should go....not a Sara fan, however will miss all 3 if producers go in that direction, but would prefer GRISSOM TO STAY.....

Omg... CSi will not be the same without Griaaom. It is bad enough that Sara and now Warrick is gone..:( CSI is my favorite show and it will be sad to see all my favs leave the show! Very sad!!

Grissom is what made the show...i think the show will go down hill without him....
