Kids should have the right to vote for President

Description:

Hey, most kids are smarter than their own parents in 6th or 7th grade! Adults have had the chance to mess up our country, now its our turn. I highly doubt that a SMART 13 year old would send out wars to every country every 5 minutes. Make them take some sort of test. Say their IQ has to be over 120. But at least let them run!

i think that there shouldnt be a IQ test for this, although that is a great idea. however i agree that many teenagers and kids are more intelligent than their parents if they have the right education. I still think there should be an age limit maybe something like 15. The thing is that many adults do not care at all about the election or they dont hsve the intelligence and exposure to these issues to make an educated vote. Many kids are smart enough but they are still easily manipulated... if they could vote then the election campaigns may become heavily focused on them which could potentially change the vote. They should definetly not be able to run for pres as in try to become the pres, i dont think that "kids" should be able to vote but i do think that people at or above the age of 15 should be able to. (obviously i cant convey that opinion by voting either way on this so im not going to)

not all kids are easily manitpulated. most just listen to their parents. Besides a few of us understand more than the adults think. we are the future of the country after all. I think its time u let us into the government. not run for president but have some representatives for kids and adults into the government. that part could come in handy cuz some r motivated to do something great.

um no they wouldnt do something as drastic as that. i think that it should be someone who has a well balanced emotional mind set if ur worried about that. Besides kids are the future of the country but i think it should play more along the lines of a teenager who wants to do something great or who understands more than u think after all i do. and i'm a teen
