Description:

Disappointed with how Kristen played Bella? Well I was. I feel that look wise she was a good fit, however her acting was poor and emotionless.

She never stepped out of her own tough, tomboyish personality to portray Bella. Bella was intelligent and strong, but still soft and feminine. Catherine Hardwicke only cast her because she had worked with her before and she was the right age. Just because someone is the character's same age does not mean she is the right actor to personify them. Alexis Bledel or Stephenie Meyer's choice, Emily Browning, would have brought Bella to life. Some people think these two actresses are too pretty to play the plain Bella... Twilight fans, please go to StephenieMeyer.com, her official web site, and read the draft of 'Midnight Sun'. She posted it there out of courtesy to her fans because she never finished it. When Edward starts sneaking into Bella's room, he describes the way he sees her. He says she is actually a beautiful girl and now he saw what the other guys at school had seen her first day when he had said she looked like "an ordinary girl". Also, his description of her in biology class is of a very pretty girl. I guess its just me, but I think she should be cast the way Edward saw her.I'm not saying Kristen is not pretty, just not in the way Bella is described. I can think of a handful of talented, young actresses who would have played Bella alot better. Sadly, what's done is done... I wish they would at least recast her for 'Breaking Dawn' when Bella is transformed into a vampire. I wonder if Emily Browning would be available for that in 2009?
http://www.aibal.com/kris ten-stewart-fai... A lot of people agree with you~!
Awkward and painful to watch are exactly what the words I was looking for.
Me: Pleaaaase i cringe every time i see the hospital thing its absolutely rediculous >_< This is my sister: As Kristen would probably state this THESE NEGATIVE FANS CAN GO F*** OFF. SHE'S MAKING MILLIONS WHILE YOU GUYS ARE BUSY BLOGGING ABOUT IT

The part where she's in the hospital bed talking to Edward was the worst! she is very jumpy and not believable, she is very cute though.

I've seen the movie 4 times and I still cringe and look away when Kristen Stewart is in a scene. She is awful! She over acts! She's awkward and jumpy and so painful to watch. I never saw her as Bella. In my mind Emily Browning was Bella. She looks the part and she can act the part. She has what it takes bring Bella Swan to life. I loved every other actor in the movie. The whole Cullen family was perfectly casted. The high school kids were good. Charlie was great, Billy Black was great and Jacob Black was AMAZING! Robert Pattinson was good but he needs to tone it down a notch and be more graceful and perfect and not so awkward. And he smiles too little. He hardly ever cracked a smile when in the book Edward is always giving Bella that crooked smile she loves. Anyway, Kristen Stewart killed the movie for me. I was embarrased bcuz I had gone with a friend who had not read the books and she hated Kristen and agreed in the lack of chemistry and her horrible over acting. Thanks to that she lost interest in reading the books. Kristen Stewart MUST! be recasted. And Emily Browning would pick up gracefully where she left off. I'm afraid the other movies wont do so well because Kristen Stewart wont be able to pull off what Bella goes through in New Moon and the whole being in love with 2 guys and then the whole Breaking Dawn roller coaster. SHE HAS TO GO! SHE'S GOING TO KILL THE MOVIES!

thank you well said!!!

KRISTIN DOES NOT NEED LESSON YOU IDIOTS ! SHE IS THE PERFECT PERSON TO PLAY BELLA~~!!!!! SHE IS A GREAT ACTRESS! AND DONT U SAY I DO NOT KNO WAT I MTALKIN ABOUT ! U DO NOT KNO WAT U TALKIN ABOUT !

She does look pretty. But she really needs to take more classes. She needs to learn how to act with emotions, and change her facial expression.

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought her acting
was blah.

I totally agree! She looked great, but she i supposed to be endearing, not standoffish. There was hardly any expression in any of her lines. I must say, they should recast me as Bella..: )

I said the same I should've been Bella
