I agree with you Amanda, Vick is a low life loser. He probably started as a street thug, then some idiot saw him throw a football and signed him up. People say he gives alot to charities, when he gets out, he should give to all the animal rescue centers in his hometown. Thats the least he can do for all the pain and suffering he and his thugs put upon poor defensless animals. Dogs only want somebody to love them they aim to please, and to do what Vick and his people did to these poor babies is definitely horrendous. While he is in the slammer he needs to read some books on how dogs serve people, such as seeing eye dogs, etc. Yes, even pit bulls can be service dogs. We have a pitbull in our town that is  a  seeing eye dog. This dog goes everywhere with this blind man. I saw him in Petsmart the other day. All kinds of people approached this man and asked about the dog. He let them pet the dog, and that dogs tail wagged so hard he knocked some stuffed animals on the floor. So there you go Vick, better hope you don't lose your sight; might come back to haunt you buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live outside the USA though I lived in there from 1979 to 1990, I go back from time to time to visit relatives. In other parts of the world people see animals in a different way than in America. In Florida if you kill a panther that crosses in front of your car you can end up in jail. Even if you tried to avoid killing it. Panthers are an endangered species and God forbide you have the bad luck of one of them crossing in front of your car in the highway in Florida. Jail time plus a fine... only in America...

My point? Some of you condemn what Vick did to those dogs, yet you want him to be electrocuted, drowned, kicked out of football. What kind of justice is that? When animals have more right than humans something is very very wrong. It's not right to kill dogs the way he did, but how many pets are "put to sleep" everyday in the USA? By the way, "put to sleep" doesn't sound as awful as "killed," but that's what happen to those pets... they are killed! And please don't tell that they are killed in a very "humane way."

These extreme reactions to actions like the ones by Vick show two things:  1) even though many would like to believe that humans can learn from their mistakes and change for the better, there are many who wont let persons like Vick back into society. 2) You are not that different from him because you want someone to electrocute him or drown him... the very actions you condemn him for doing to his dogs.

How many of you had turkey Thanksgiving Day? Or a BigMac this week? Or a steak recently? What about a tuna sandwich? Or chicken at KFC? Do you realize that in order for you to have that turkey two weeks ago that turkey had to be "killed"? What's the big diference between that and what Vick did? Did the turkey died happier than the dogs because he was killed more humanely? What Vick did was not right but it shouldn't mean that he cannot earn a living in the USA. He needs to work to make a living. If he is kicked out of the NFL, why would you allow him to work, say at McDonalds? Why it would be Ok to work there and not where he is good at... the NFL? Please, please, use common sense... unfortunately common sense is the least common of the senses...
