Description:

The Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the RAF Red Arrows as Unsuitable for the 2012 Olympics because they are too British.  The organising committee of London 2012 will decide what to include in the Opening Ceremony and other celebrations.

We, the undersigned, petition that committee to Allow the Red Arrows to Fly at the 2012 Olympics.

I think it's bloody disgraceful that the British government could say that, afterall aren't they the one's claiming that the 2012 Olympics should help "boost all thing's British and make the nation proud to be apart of this nation". It just goes to show that the Department of Culture is run by a bunch of idiot's.

after all the japanise stuff at this years opening it is disgrasfull that the red arrows are two british its the only thing we have two be proud off

About time we get rid the " Labour i know best" government. Well done the red arrows, us brits are with you all the way. MORE OF THE SAME.

I am sick and tired of feeling as though we should appologise for being british in Britain!! Of course the Red Arrows should fly at the 2012 Olympics. They are a part of our heritage and something I have grown up with and looked forward to seeing at all sorts of events. This PC mentality has gone way too far and it has got to stop!!

Whats wrong in being to British? Isint England a nation that one should be proud of. Whats wrong with you pepole? Hasint England welcomed all decent humans who wanted to start a life there. So whats wrong with the red arrows havent they servedas ambasodors to the UK for a long time? So lets all stand up & be counted we have nothing to be ashamed of We are English.

Why don't we break up all of our armed forces after all aren't they too British, i think it's about time the PC people are rounded up given a rifle and sent to Iraq and Afganistan. The RAF Red Arrows are a testiment to our armed forces and the young men and women that are serving and anything British should make us proud. If we're going to offend foreign visitors then so be it i'm sure they'll get over it afterall thats why they came to Britain.I don't think our feelings would ever be consider if the games were to be held in a Muslim Country. We really have to take a long hard look at ourselves, this is PC gone crazy. What do they think foreign visitors want to see when they come to Britain, everything thats not British!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what they mean by "Too British" The Red Arrows are great and they entertain a lot of people around the world. They are very popular here in North America and they fly at a lot of Air Shows here even though their normal tours involve mostly European air shows. I think everyone around the world who likes precision flying knows about the Red Arrows and is a fan of the Red Arrows. An air show just isn't an air show unless the Red Arrows or Blue Angels show up. Here in North American it's a treat if the Blue Angels agree to perform, but it's an extra special treat when the Red Arrows make one of their periodic world tours. You can't get a ticket for love nor money. (ps, great photo)
