Issue:

Australian Telecommunications Minister, Stephen Conroy, is mandating the creation of 'clean' internet feeds to be optionally made available to schools and homes by request. The feed would offer built-in filters of 'pornography and inappropriate content'.  It's optional for subscribers but mandatory for ISPs to implement it. In other words, it's an opt out system.

Belief:

Mr. Conroy believes the scheme will better protect children from pornography and violent websites.  Some are afraid they will be making lists of those who opt out.
