A suite of 25 patents for technology developed at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center will be put up for sale at a live intellectual property auction being held October 29th & 30th. They say that creating a market for NASA funded patented technology benefits both the government and the commercial sector that will take advantage of it. What about the Americans taxpayers that actually paid for it?  Does it not belong to us?

Since this was publicly funded research, I believe we taxpayers should see some return on our investment in the form of lower taxes going forward based upon the proceeds of a successful sale of these patents.
