Natalee Holloway Deserves Justice

Issue:

The Aruban Police have put out a press release that they will absolutely not arrest Natalee Holloway's alleged killer, Joran ver de Sloot.  Their press release stated that the Aruban police believed that Joran ver de Sloot was probably lying when he stated he killed Natalee Holloway.  The Aruban Police Force's press release also stated that Aruban Police believed that Joran ver de Sloot may be mentally ill.

Belief:

I believe that a decision of that kind could have been made only at the very highest level of the Aruban Government.  Given Natalee's murder's very high profile in the world media at the time, I believe the ultimate decision was more than likely made by Aruba's Prime Minister Nelson Obuder.  I believe that the only way to keep the boycott of Aruba for Natalee alive is to give the name and the face of the man who likely made the decision to let Natalee's killer go free.  I believe the press should confront Nelson Obuder and ask whether or not he made the decision not to re-arrest Joran ver de Sloot.  I believe that the world press should confront Nelson Obuder if he claims that he was not ultimately responsible for the decision not to re-arrest Joran.

These three questions were written by Amber P. and they say a lot better what I was trying to say. They bring up all the points that need to be examined.

2) "How did the Aruban Government come up with the decision that Joran Van der Slooth may be mentally ill? Even so, mentally ill people do commit some of the most horrible of crimes. However, Joran Van der Slooth then bragged about them to a reporter and his comments were recorded for all to see! It may be indeed be the case that he was just saying these things to show off. However he did not have to go into SO MUCH DETAIL about what happened! Is it not true that only the person who really did the crime would only know so much detail about what really happened, as he stated in his video tape?"

3) "Many people feel that the Aruban Government should investigate the Aruban Police Force for corruption. The way they handled the case appears to be grossly inadequate! It seems to many that the Aruban Police did not to properly investigate the case starting from the day the crime was committed. It also appears to many that they deliberately delayed their investigation until it was too late to get any physical evidence, and many feel they did that on purpose, so Van der Slooth would go free!"

Some information on question three. From a Boycott Aruba Blog. I have no idea if this is true but it seems it could be corroberated.

The Dutch judges from Curacao also share culpability in ignoring these statements by the three suspects. One in particular was Judge Robert “Bob” Smid who is reported to be a friend of Paulus Van Der Sloot, and had even stayed at his home while visiting the island. On August 30, 2005 Judge Smid issued a ruling that Joran should be held another 30 days, flew back to Curacao and immediately faxed in a reversal of his ruling. Two and a half weeks later Joran Van Der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers were all released from giving further testimony in the case.

On September 3, 2005 Joran Van der Sloot was released from police custody and fled to Holland. Drawing on an obscure Dutch judgement in another case, the judge ruled that Joran’s schoolwork was apparently more important than giving any further testimony in the Natalee Holloway case, even though he and the Kalpoe brothers disagree on key points about what happened the night Natalee disappeared.

If the savage beast van der Sloot and his evil daddy are in fact mentally ill then we have several volunteers who will be happy to perform a lobotomy on both of them. Our by scouts could take out the fat assed Aruban police.

News are that Joran is in a mental institution. His father i am not sure if he is mentally ill or not. But I am sure that he is not at peace and never will be.

I feel Natalee Holloway will never receive justice unless several questions have been answered. Given that the Holloway case had become very high profile in the world news at the time because of broadcast of Joran ver de Sloot's confession, I believe that the decision not to re-arrest Joran ver de Sloot was most probably made at the very highest level of the Aruban Government. I believe the there is the distinct possibility that the decision not to re-arrest Joran ver de Sloot was made by Aruba's Prime Minister Nelson Obuder and his Cabinet.

I believe that the last chance for Natalee Holloway to find justice is for (news organization) to challenge Prime Minister Nelson Obuder's government's decision not to re-arrest Joran ver de Sloot.

Question that deserves answers include by the Aruban Government include:

"If it was your decision not to rearrest Vanderslooth, was your decision any way based on the fact that his father was and still maybe a Judge in training? If not, can you prove his father did not have any political influence in this case on his son's behalf?"

"How did the Aruban Government come up with the decision that Vanderslooth may be mentally ill? Even so, mentally ill people do commit some of the most horrible of crimes. I would like (news organization) to consider the number of questions that still remain unanswered regarding Natalee Holloway's murder after three years. And I would like Fox News to consider whether or not Prime Minister Obuder should give us believable answers why we are still waiting for an arrest in the Natalee Holloway case.

I suggest your correct your grammar and some mistakes you have made in this letter. Maybe some of the Americans may want to help correct it. It would be a shame for you to send it to so many people. They may think you are stupid, I am not saying that you are not. But at least, with proper English, you may have better results.

I will only point out one thing that you should correct, you go look for the many others: "It may be indeed be the case.....double "be".

I like the letter. I think it is pretty good; however, when you state that you want the Aruba's Prime Minister questioned, you should also make it a more detailed question, such as, "If it was your decision not to rearrest Vanderslooth, was your decision any way based on the fact that his father was (and now maybe) a Judge in training? If not, can you prove his father did not have any political influence in this case on his son's behalf?" I think these points should be really pressed, because of Vanderslooth's father's political connections with Aruba at that time. Also, how did they come up with the decision that Vanderslooth may be mentally ill? Even so, mentally ill people do commit some of the most horrible of crimes and then brag about them to someone! I see how they say that he was just saying these things to show off to this guy, but he did not have to go into SO MUCH DETAIL about what happened! I think only the person who really did the crime would only know so much detail about what really happened, as he stated in his video tape!

The Aruban police must be really corrupt to handle a case the way they have! They screwed up the investigation from day one, and then tried to investigate it while it was too late to get any physical evidence, and I feel they did that on purpose, so Vanderslooth would go free!

Amber, honey, if you liked that letter, why don't you help correct it for Wesley. It makes him look stupid. Well, again, I am not saying that he is not. But if it should go around, best is to have it corrected. Ask a smart American at least to do it, Or if you want, Wesley, I can do it for you. No problem.

Thanks Amber those are all good suggestions. I've been informed that this shouldn't really be a campaign but a forum, so I'm going to post the letter as a Post and I'll place it at the top. I imagine Aruban's will try to bury it, but every day or every second day I'll place it back at the top. I thought of doing the letter because I really don't want to argue with Arubans anymore. I typed out the information about Aruba and human trafficking from the United Nations report on Human Trafficking. It doesn't have a URL except to order the report. I'm sick of being called a liar just because I quote from a book. Anyway, I'll incorporate your suggestions and post them at the top. Thanks again. Wes.
