Description:
This is a petition for a new rating for films as there is alot of nasty films being passed in Britian with an 18 certificate and this is too little. I think there should be a 21 rating for very extreme films which show very nasty things like rape, animal cruelty and killing babies. I am not saying these films should be banned as everybody has a right to watch what they want but I just think there should be another rating so then everybody would know how extreme the film is before they get it out. Please sign this petition and support my cause. Thank you
I Honestly Think It Should Be For Older Then 21 Because They Are Still Young.
No Person Deserves To Raped.
It Could Happen To Anyone.
And No One Would Like It.
As To Animals.
That's Wrong In Everyway.
They Shouldn't Be Beaten Just A Person Shouldn't Be.
No One Would Like It.
You Could Like To Watch It.
Then Watch It Happen To You.
You'd Be Pissed.
Think Not.
You're A Liar.
Killing Babies?
What A Stupid Idiot.
That Means Someone Should Have Killed.
What Nasty Perverts.
That's Just Wrong.
Babies Deserve To Live.
No Matter What.
Disaggree With Me.
Who Cares.
I Sure Don't.
If Anything.
Make Them Educational And Not So Inappropiate.
Tell Them How They Shouldn't Or Want To Do That.
I also agree with the comment that we need more information. Also I am not trying to ruin anybodys enjoyment of movies as I dont think we need to go back to the days when everything was banned. The campaign is about making people more aware about what is in a film.
I actually do watch alot of horror films and enjoy films like the texas chainsaw masscare and I do know that films are not real. I agree with the sticker idea and I also agree with the point made about the people wont rate the films correctly. I also do not believe that watching these films will make somebody go out and do harm to anyone as there have been serial killers since before films were made I think it is just in people to be violent and maybe everyone 1 person in 1,000 who watched the movie will go out and do something. The point I was making with the new rating is so then you would know it was more extreme but I agree with the sticker.
Oh, and one more thing. You don't need to raise the age to make people aware of the violence. All it needs is an extra "this is a very violent film" sticker. They also have the categories at the back of the case, or often at the bottom of posters and film reviews, that somehow rate the film in terms of violence, language and sexual content. These are not just an age sticker, they are actually informative and thus more useful than a blanket ban on under 21s watching something.
Also, what makes you think that the people who decide this new rating and what classifies for it will be any wiser than those who produce the current violence/nudity/language ratings? We need information with which to make educated choices, not just more random legislation.
Noooope.
18 = adult. If you want to petition for 18 year olds to be classed as youths or even children, go ahead. However, as it currently stands, 18 year olds are considered adults. They can have sex, get married, drink, drive, vote, even die for the country. It is frankly patronising to suggest that they should be able to do all of that but not watch a bit of fictional media. The kind of people who are twisted enough at 18 to re-enact such violence will probably remain so, thus raising the age they can watch certain films at won't solve that problem. The other issue is 18 year olds being subjected to violence they are not prepared for . . . this isn't an issue with the current rating, as everyone knows an 18 film is at *least* of a certain level of violence and sexual content. If someone takes the risk of watching such a film, having read reviews and asked friends, then that is a risk they must be prepared to take responsibility for. Legislation shouldn't pussy-foot around people that can't take responsibility for their own viewing habits.
oh yeah, and who gives a **** if a baby is killed in a f*cking film. it's not **** real. You TWAT!
Erm, you're an adult at 18 you **** prick! Why would you need to have a 21 rating. Bet you **** love health and safety to don't you you sad ****! Why dont you just watch PG movies and **** off! **** head! If you watch an 18 film you expect to see violence and the like you fool! Oooh, i was in a bad mood anyway, but you just boil my piss!
In response to the comments down below that if you dont want to watch these type of films dont watch the point that I am tryint to make is that you dont know that these type of things are in the film as all it says is 18:Contains strong bloody violence and this is used for example in a film like "Scream" which is tame and is also used in a film like "Apolyapto" which has the baby killing scene. The point that I am making about the new rating is that then people would know how bad these films were and could make an informed choice about whether they wanted to watch it or not. One time what was done in a dvd store they put stickers on the extreme films which said contains explicilt Sex/Violence so then people knew how bad they are and could decide whether they wanted to watch it or not. Thanks for all your opinions. Its been great hearing what everybody thinks about this topic.
No, stupid **** idea, the recently 12A rating has pretty much ruined the 15 and 18 rated films anyway because they try and fit this rating. 18=adult, so why need a new rating??? there arnt enough 18 rated new films as it is
I agree with extra information but not a new age rating.
18 year olds are adults. If onecan drive, vote, get married, go to university and live on your own it's patronising to assume one is not mature enough to watch a film with these topics. Adults know these are going on in the world - they are not 14. Anyway, people watch films on DVD above the age that they are, which makes any age restriction changes even more pointless.
Maybe warnings would be better, like on the back of many DVD cases.
stop being ridiculous, I have seen tons of nasty films from a young age and i'm fine. I agree that warnings could be more specific but IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WACTH THINGS LIKE ANIMAL BABY RAPISTS THEN SIMPLY DON'T WATCH THEM!
Suck my Penis like the penis penguin from old Chinatown
Idiotic Idea.If people make films with a disturbing e.t.c. content then you old enough to watch at 18. Please send me a message as I would genuinally be interested in finding out why you think at 21 you should see things that you cant at 18 Dave Eastwood
i'm actually quite sad they don't...
im always so lonely in the cinema, like when i went to watch baby raping animal killers 3.
i dont think there should be a new rating,
but the warnings on some films could maybe be a bit more clear. when you go to see a film thats an 18 you should really expect to see things that are obviously deemed unsuitable for a 15 or 12a...
rape, animal cruelty and killing babies! I'm saddened that those types of films actually have an audience.
